For sizing, I'm a 36" bust, 29.5" waist. I bought the small in green in August 2020. I wanted a packable shell for my go-bag. Fit is perfect around my waist. A tiny bit baggy around the bust, but still really flattering. I feel like sleeves are a tad long, but Velcroed tight, it looks fine. In November 2020, I bought a medium in moon gray to use on my daily power walks. Color is on the lavender side of gray. It's fit is just a little bigger than the small, with enough space for a thick fleece jacket layer underneath. Reviews are what helped me make the purchase, so I'd like to share my experience as I think it would be helpful. I've seen reviews of people who were wet after using the jacket in the rain, so I'm including my experience with that also. While wearing the jacket, the packable hood is super easy to unfurl, and just as easy to roll back into the collar. Our Northern New England winter has already begun, so I've been able to test using this as a windbreaker shell. I've been able to go out in windy 14 degrees with a thin base layer and a thick fleece hoodie underneath this jacket, and been warm enough. I actually get a little overheated half way through the walk, but unzipping the pockets (which are its "vents") and the main zipper does help cool me down. One warning! Because it traps body heat so well, it also traps moisture! I have one picture of the inside of the back of jacket after a walk. Needless to say this is not a breathable Gore-tex jacket, so it's to be expected. When I tried the first jacket on in the summer, it did start to get sticky wearing it on my bare skin, so if you live in a warmer climate, this feature might get annoying. As for waterproofness, I've been out in the pouring rain a few times and come home dry -except if I've been sweating. The rain water just beads up on the jacket. Being that it wicks my sweat on the interior, I decided to performed a test in the shower to be sure about its waterproofness. After about 5 minutes of showering my arm, you can see that indeed the inside of my sleeve is bone dry. This jacket is very packable. You'll find in one of the hand pockets, there's a double zipper. Turn that pocket inside out, and feed the jacket body into the pocket/sack. Zips shut. You can search the web to find a video showing it, but it's very easy and quick to do. Fits well, looks lovely, light weight and just what I need when walking along a breezy beach in lower 60 degree temperatures! Last year I nearly froze along the shore line due to the cutting winds at the beach. This year, I was kept warm and dry on those breezy and misty days. Plenty of secure pockets and well made. Have owned two of these (one pink and one black) and have not been disappointed! Good quality and lightweight! Great for keeping top half dry if in sudden downpour. Only downside is the hood sometimes flies off if it's a windy day!

The color "New Moon" is great and the fit is nice and loose to wear over warm jackets on my winter walks. I was worried the color would just look like a dirty light purple but it is actually a nice gray/lavender. not as dull as the photo but not too bright. I also ordered the "marigold" but it is a little too orange for me. Although it would be a good color choice to stay visible on dark or rainy days. I look better in mustard. The sizing is true I think. I got a larger size but I think a small or medium would fit fine. I'm about 130lbs with big boobs. It's quite roomy but I like to be able to wear a thick fleece or puffer coat underneath if needed. The jacket stuffs into the pocket in case you didn't realize that. Also the hood stuffs into the collar. I love that because even when it is raining I don't always like to wear a hood as it limits my vision. This Columbia jacket is a winner! Fits great, attractive colors, well made and is quite versatile. Very comfortable and it travels well when packed. Yes, it is a bit spendy for a simple windbreaker, but worth it. My wife has two of these in different colors (black & light blue). She loves them both and has worn her black one for years.
