Description

As unapologetic as its name suggests, this waterproof jacket is your perfect rain companion. An attached, adjustable hood keeps you dry, while a back venting system makes sure you never overheat. The belt is removable for customization and style. This versatile rain coat is just as comfortable acting as an everyday windbreaker as it is a classic trench coat. Two zippered hand pockets keep items secure, while a two-way front zipper provides options. Offered in several stylish colors and sizes. Extended sizing available. Regular Fit. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

  • My Favorite Jacket
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: 3X
I’ve purchased this jacket a couple of times, it’s just my favorite. It’s comfortable and lightweight. Buy a size up so you can wear sweaters or layers under it. It’s great for every season, but I can’t wear it on breezy days (>15MPH) with temperatures under 47°F, I tried, but my bones say no lol. The colors are beautiful and stays in the wash, does not fade. Zipper all the way to neck, drawstring hood, warm with layers, great quality, smooth lining doesn’t cling to clothes, ... show more

  • Cute and Functional
Color: Black Size: 3X
I got sick of wearing hoodies in wet weather and I wanted something that would be comfy, stylish and durable. It's super comfortable and light. Sizing was accurate. I'm someone that gets overheated easily so the back vents are a godsend and it's super easy to throw in your bag, it can be crushed to be fairly small. It looks so good! I'm apple shaped so the jacket being belted gives the illusion of a more hourglass shape. Contrary to other reviewers, I find this jacket to be incredibly flattering to big boobs. It's really easy to build a cute, functional outfit that I can wear both indoors and outside. The build quality is not what I've normally experienced from Columbia. When I opened the box, the jacket felt lighter and flimsier than I expected. It's only been a few weeks and I see signs of wear but I wear it to work and am fairly active in it. The zippers and snaps are all fine but I see some lose threads. I could exchange it but I just don't want to be bothered and the functional aspects work so I can't complain. Light rain and snow beads right off. It dries incredibly fast. It's been easy to wipe stains right off. Not sure why I'm afraid of putting it in the washer but eventually: I'll have no choice. A little pricey but if you want something light and flattering: you can't go wrong. ... show more

  • Attractive, lightweight, comfortable.
Color: Black Size: Small
Update: I bought a second Pardon My Trench in nocturnal blue and I’m so glad I did. It turns out, the color is stellar, versatile, far better than in its listing photos. Yes, the color is dark, but it is definitely not jet black nor blue black. It’s a vibrant, classy, dark navy blue. The nocturnal blue works as a perfect foil to most of my wardrobe items that do not look great when paired with black. On myself, sort of petite, 5’3”, this second jacket looks good with jeans, particularly dark navy jeans. The cut, cloth, and details of this second jacket are just as good as the first jacket I bought, in black. On that first jacket, I immediately loved that the Columbia logo is well-placed, in white, and not huge. Turns out it’s ditto for the logo’s details on the blue jacket. In fact the logo’s presence lends, doesn’t distract from the jacket’s look, and, like with the black jacket, its styling doesn’t inhibit the jacket’s versatility. Buying a second raincoat was sort of a splurge, and at first, I hesitated to push the button to buy it. But now I’m thinking… splurge, not really! LOL, in two years I’d have probably worn out the first jacket. Now, the likelihood is that I’ll being shopping for a new raincoat, not in two, but four years. I like these jackets that much… ———— I had hesitations about buying this black jacket as in the past as I’ve found Columbia outerwear is sometimes overbuilt and sometimes under built. What is that about? I’ve noticed that frequently Columbia chooses to highlight design features that are just plain distracting to the attractiveness of the garment. And otherwise, often enough, their clothings’ seam details, fabric quality, garment fit, and sizing are just a bit off. Well, no problems with any of that with Columbia’s Pardon My Trench. Detailing and sizing is well done, as should be expected for the price. And design features are nicely, quietly highlighted. About fit, for me anyway, it is as expected and also, is flattering. While I’m now retired and don’t travel as much as I once did, I’m pretty sure this coat will vamp nicely from casual to business wear in most regions of the US. ... show more

  • Nice, kept dry
Color: Black Size: Large
I did not have high hopes after trying the Columbia Lillian Shell rain jacket which was just the worst. However, this one is pretty great. The belt on this is almost perfect, and makes a flattering feminine shape ( unlike the pull cords on the other) and it appears that you can't lose it or have it fall off. Same with the hoodie cords. There's not a weird overabundance of fabric on this one, either, and the fit is great. Long enough arms for 5'9" by far, and has velcro so you can make them fit shorter if you need to. I hated the elastic cuffs on the other coat as well. This also has a hood unlike some other trenches which is good just in case. I saw some people saying it stays cool because of the vent in the back, but I usually run hot with synthetic fabrics and did find this to be slightly uncomfortable/oddly elbow sweaty lol. If I can, I'll wear long sleeves with it. Overall I'm impressed. The waist sits a tiny bit high for my height so I would have still maybe gone with a Tall option if there was one. I run in to that issue a lot though and also have a prominent rib cage. Overall, the winner out of 3 that I tried. The other was a nine west one from Kohl's and the vent part stuck out like 8" behind me on that one so I was glad this one did not. Kept me totally dry for a bachelorette weekend! 5'9", 36D, 155, usually size 6 ladies pants. ... show more
