This is a very nice item. Sturdy, and works very well. We use ours with the 90% alcohol, and the fire is so much like a normal wood fireplace without the smoke. The fire burns very cleanly, although there will be some soot on the inside of the stone chamber, which isn't a big deal for us. We aren't able to have a wood, gas or pellet fireplace or stove in our home, so this was a GREAT addition, especially on those cold winter nights. We turn the lights out and get cosy by our Colsen fireplace. One WARNING for buyers... make sure to place some metal or wooded trivets underneath this fireplace, if you're going to use it on a wood surface. We used ours 3 times on a wooden coffee table, and the heat from the button scorched our furniture. We placed three 1/2" bamboo trivets underneath, and now everything is fine, but running it without protection will result in burned wood furniture, as the stone fireplace gets really hot, and the felt padding the manufacturer places on the bottom doesn't offer enough protection. Other than that this item is great!!!

I use it outdoors and in my upstairs fireplace. It’s most perfect in my bedroom fireplace. Though it doesn’t put off much heat, I’m happy with the ambience and light. Just adds such a nice layer to all evenings!!

it's a bit overpriced for what it is but works great. i put some lava rocks in there that makes the flames a bit higher and also prolongs the fire. keep candls and any oily substances away since it will absorb into the concrete and stain permanently.

The media could not be loaded. Great product, nice style, excellent quality, but the flame is really big and burns out quickly. Burns through a quart of fuel in 40-50 min. Quick fix, add some small/medium size rock to control the flame size. Looks great, and burns 2-3 times longer.
