Our virgin HDPE fabric went through 20000 hours of laboratory UV testing and it is proved to be 70% more durable compared to recycled HDPE under sun exposure, fabric has been treated with UV stabilized compound, preventing shade sails from dried out, tearing and fading, significantly extend the lifespan.

  • STRUCTURE DESIGNED FOR DURABILITY: All edges are constructed with heavy duty double layered reinforced stitched seams, prevents frayed edges and out of shape. Each corner ends with stainless steel D-ring for easy hanging, extra heavy stitching to help the D-rings strongly attached to the shade sail.
  • INSTALLATION GUIDE: Installation hardware kits are required and sold separately, each D-ring will require one cable rope (DO NOT use nylon ropes, they break easily!!). Connect the other ends of cables to existing poles, trees or wall with shade sail hardware kits, high quality ColourTree hardware kits and cables are strongly recommended for best performance and appearance.

This was the perfect size for our 12x12 deck. We've got turnbuckle hooks on one side and the ratcheting tensioners on the other. Perfect fit and easy to keep snug. The corners are quality D loops with good solid stitching. It looks great and we're very happy! We'll see how it holds up to the sun and weather. This shade was installed over a south facing deck. It was the correct measurements and fit perfectly. One drawback is that it does sag under rain weight and drenches the furniture underneath. I have to remove the cushions when rain is predicted. It will also be removed during the winter so it might last a little longer than covers used year around. As others have said, use turnbuckles. We are really happy with the outcome. We used 4x4s for the posts which we sunk in concrete (in flower pots) 2x4s for the frame. Unfortunately it has been excessively hot & humid since our purchase, so we’ve been hanging out under the deck where the fan is! We have noticed that the floor of the deck upstairs is a lot cooler when the sail is up. This sail may be a little higher in price, but we are glad we went with it. The sail stretches a little with heavy rain,. We just take down one end & attach it to the opposite side so it just hangs down. It would be awesome if it was also waterproof. ... show more

It is pretty basic and not great quality. When I strung it up it was not actually 10x 20. The material is a weird plastic that is not an exact rectangle. All the edges bend in about a foot making it about 8 x 18. I could try stretching it more but it will probably rip. The picture I have here is for perspective. The travel trailer there is exactly 8 feet wide and clearly the windsail is not 10 feet wide even at the corners. I will probably only get one or two seasons out of it.
