I paid $9.99 for this lamp. It is perfect for when I want to read at my kitchen table due to it being so compact. I can also plug it into my laptop if I need more light when working on my computer. I like the fact that you only need to brush your finger on the circle in front of the lamp to turn it on/off and change the brightness. You have to push the circle in to change the color. It does not take up much space. I thought the pictures were misleading because it looks like it does not need to be plugged in. It looks like you can recharge it as you would a cell phone. No wires are shown in the pictures. However, this needs to be plugged into a wall outlet or a computer via the usb cord. Also, if you plug it into a wall outlet, you will need an adapter as the cord that came with it does not have the prongs for a wall outlet. Fortunately, I had an old cell phone charger that fit into the lamp as well as my wall outlet. The cord that came with it does not fit my cell phone. I am not able to charge my phone with this lamp, but I suppose if you have the right equipment, you can. Also, the dimensions are wrong, but common sense would tell you that the dimensions are not one inch for height, width and depth. ... show more

I needed a little extra light over my computer keyboard in my office. This worked perfectly. The only drawback is that it only plugs into a usb, so you will either need an adapter for your outlet, or like me, I simply plug it into my computer's usb drive for power.

The light is great. But whenever I plug anything into the USB port, the light starts flickering noticeably. It gets better or worse depending on what I plugged in.
