I'm a 5'5" 112 lb middle aged woman and was afraid this might be cumbersome to carry and put up alone. I just took it out on a 5 day camping trip and it was not cumbersome at all. It's not particularly light but light enough that I could put it in and out of my car roof carrier without difficulty. The materials and craftsmanship appear excellent and I'd expect this to last a good while. I did watch videos online to make sure I could unfold and fold this which was helpful because they had some hints to do it more easily alone. Unzipping the flaps before setting it up was a huge help. The set up could not have been simpler though. I walked around the tent and unfolded each leg and then went around and pushed each one up until it snapped into place. So easy! The tent was plenty roomy and kept out bugs while providing also shade. Take down was just as simple and took just a few minutes. So easy to setup and take down that it will be coming along on all of my camping trips even if it's just a one nighter. So glad I made this purchase! ... show more

I’m actually in shock at how fast and easy it is to build and tear down this screen tent! I was looking for a reliable brand and I’m glad I came across this! By myself, I was able to put it up within 2 minutes and tear it down in the same amount of time. It folded together easily and the bag is actually larger than you need!     • It probably works better if the set-up instructions were clearer
I got this to set up a crafting booth at meets I attend about once a month, so I wasn't entirely fried by the sun and to better mark off personal space. It's light-weigh, but kind of bulky if you plan on hiking with it to set up somewhere. It has pretty good construction (More on that below) and doesn't blow around in light winds. However, the set-up instructions full on suck. They suck so hard, they blow. And when disassembled, it's almost like trying to figure out how to deal with Humpty Dumpty after his tragic wall incident. The way it's laid out isn't intuitive, and you do need to lay it out and figure out which side is OUT and which is in. What was supposed to be a simple one-man, five minute set up per the instructions the first time turned out to be a 3 man, 30 minute ordeal that ended up with it set up and functionally useful. That took two stars off from the pitifully poor instructions sewn into the bag of the thing. What happened? Having done a lot of camping in my youth, with tents of old, and since the instructions at no place or time mentioned that the frame was to be on the OUTSIDE, set it up with the frame on the INSIDE, like they used to be. I only figured out that it was inside out when I could read "COLEMAN" perfectly from the inside. IF they tell you it can't be set up inside out, rest assured, it can be. It's not EASY, and NOT a one-person job, but it CAN be done. And that's where quality of the material comes in. Despite it being set up inside out, with the frame inside instead of outside, the fabric and seams all held together without any damage. I don't live in a location where I could set it up prior to my first use of it, and was fortunate to have the able assistance of a couple of other vendors to help me with it, but I blame the amazingly bad instructions for the issue in the first place. It shouldn't be rocket science and NO ONE should ever think that it set up any other way than it needed to be set up. Take-down took 3 minutes, repacking into the bag took the same amount of time (it's not as easy as it seems even if its folded right), and overall, it'll be used again and again - only hopefully with better luck setting it up. I gave back a star because the tent took a lot of abuse, and didn't rip or tear. If you remember that the frame is outside and the tent is inside the frame, it's probably fine. I haven't had a chance to set it up but the one time yet, since my meets are monthly, but if it's still a PITA to set up the right way, I'll amend the review. As it is, the really bad instructions do knock off a star. YMMV. I'd recommend it to others, as long as they aren't relying on older ways of dealing with camping equipment. ... show more

Went camping with it. Easy set up and take down. Storm hit during the night and we actually stayed dry in it. Can't beat that!

    • Zip Open the Doors Before Extending the Legs
Saw a negative review of the Coleman Skylodge Tent claiming that “the material is too short to expand the poles.” Here’s a tip: Unzip both doors before attempting to extend the legs for setup. If you don’t unzip the doors the legs will not extend properly! One you unzip the doors the material folds out properly and the setup is easy for a single person. ... show more

    • Better than a canopy
This is like a tent no negatives, all positives has tarp like material for the ground base so no interaction with ground so no bugs, insects or spiders. The net prevents flying insects if you want to put covering around it’s a tent where you still in. Truly worth the price.
