  • I love this pad, worth every penny!
Style: Camping Pad
I LOVE this pad! I have one something like this, that I have had for years, and I have been looking for another. The one I have is not 'self inflating', as this one is and the cap is detatched with a plug that goes in first. This pad WILL auto inflate, though I did blow a little (three or four breaths) air into it to puff it up. The cap is very unique and stays on the fill spout, it just loosens to allow air in and out. It won't ever get lost and there is no separate plug /cork. I've had the other pad for about 15 years and the rubber plug is getting cracked. This pad is amazingly comfortable! I had my daughter try it out and I then could not get her to get off of it !! I just ordered another one for her! We both are about 5'9" and around 165 pounds. This pad does not compress under us. You never feel the floor / ground. It's only about 2 inches thick when inflated. After 15 years, my other pad never leaked and I don't believe that this one ever will. One great thing I love about these pads is that even if you are far from home and they did get punctured, they have enough internal padding that you would still have good comfort, even without air, so you are not totally screwed, as you are if you puncture an air mattess. The other BIG advantage to these pads over an air matress is that if you camp when/ where it gets cool/cold, a big mattress is exposed to the climate, it gets cold and wicks your body heat away. My sleeping bag drapes over the edge of this pad and seals the heat in. Nice and cozy, always! Also, absolutely NO AIR PUMP Required and pretty easy to deflate. You have to PRESS all the air out, not to tough to do, and it comes with compression straps to compact it. No stuff sack, but easy to make or buy one. I will make one, because I think it helps to protect and preserve the pad. The old pad has one and it's lasted over 15 years. I WOULD NOT GO CAMPING WITHOUT THIS PAD! EVER! Highly recommended. It's on my livingroom floor right now because we lay there to watch tv. Sets against the wall behind the couch, to get it in and out of the way in a hurry. Very convenient, and good for sleepovers too. I know it seems a bit pricey, but it is WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY. ... show more

  • Amazing thing to have for guests if you have a small space

Comfortable and durable

  • Surprisingly Comfortable
Style: Camping Pad
Great camping pad overall. Inflates quickly on it's own (minus the pillow which requires a little effort on your part). I am 6ft and 165lb and I found it to be very comfortable over several nights of camping. The only negative I could say is it's a bit difficult to deflate and roll back up. I ended up slightly tearing the material at the bottom where the strap is attached with the amount of effort I was using. ... show more

  • Surprisingly comfortable
Style: Camping Pad
I have an achy spine and need a LOT of comfort. This is surprisingly comfortable but I can only use it a couple nights. The kids love it. It’s great for sleepovers!

  • A good night's sleep!
Style: Camping Pad
We just got back from our camping trip, and my two kids used these pads. They both said they were fine, at least as comfortable as sleeping on an air mattress. And, they take up much less space in your tent. When un-inflated, they are nice and compact, not too heavy, easy to pack. They have two attached straps that you can use to tie them up after you've un-inflated and rolled them up. The valve at the bottom works very easily - you simply open it, wait for a bit for the mattress to inflate, and then you can blow into it a bit more if you want it more inflated. Then, when you're breaking down, you open it and let the air out - and keep it open while you roll the pad, to get the remaining air out. then you close it, strap it up, and you're ready to go. The attached pillow inflates separately, which disappointed me a bit. You have to blow it up like any other inflatable. The pad itself gets pretty thick, I was surprised - definitely a good thing to have when tent camping. ... show more

  • The closure straps have already ripped
Style: Camping Pad
I bought this mat to use for Wildland Fire season as we typically camp out in the wilderness and I'm not great at sleeping directly on the ground anymore without some sort of padding. The PROS: This unit is fairly compact and fits easily in my gear bag. It's also lightweight which helps me keep my bag under 50 lbs for deployments. It inflates with relative ease as well. The reason for the lower rating is simply poor quality construction. I hadn't even slept on this yet, but I wanted to test it out in my bedroom. I unrolled it, inflated it and it was quite comfortable. When I was done, I deflated the unit and proceeded to wrap the two straps around the rolled pad to secure it, and the strap ripped out of the seam. I wasn't pulling that hard and it just tore right out. Not what I would expect from Coleman. ... show more

  • It is heavy and nylon cover is slippery, but overall amazing product.
Style: Camping Pad
This is a third product of its kind that I have bought, and I've also looked at about 40 others in brick-and-mortar stores. So you can say this was a result of some really serious market study. So far I'm happy with what I've got. PROs: - Price. Can barely be beat. - Pillow. Blowing it up takes about 20 seconds, negligible effort in any situation. - Comfort. Really comfortable and thick, no questions about it. Great heat insulation as well. By slightly over- and under- inflating a perfect comfort can be reached easily. - Durability. This is heavy-duty nylon all around, and the valve is thick plastic. I'd be surprised if it doesn't last. CONs: - Heavy. The pad is heavier then many competitor products. This is not suitable for hiking, more for car camping and basecamp situations. - Cover feel. This nylon is slippery and as far as pleasant feelings go, is inferior to even the cheapest competitor products. There's nothing inherently bad about it, but the plush/microfiber on other pads feels oh-so-comfy. Overall, this is a great product. ... show more
