The additional eighth makes all the difference when trying to get up out of the bed. This was my #1 reason for purchasing it. #2 reason was that the top portion did not have pocket circles like the others I have tried. #3 was the color. The dark grey doesn't stand out like the lighter colored air mattresses do. One thing that they all have in common but is easy to remedy is that the air attracts the cold, especially when you have tile flooring.. Even in our 120 degree summers.. And a cold air mattress can cause back pain and stiffness. This has an easy fix though. I placed a wool rug between the mattress and the tile floor. then layered my wool blanket and all the other extra blankets I had in the closet. Then I used a size up cotton duvet cover as my sheet. An easier way would be to just buy a 3 inch mattress topper but I didn't see the need to spend that money when I had a closet full of unused blankets. I am sleeping on this air mattress in place of the regular mattress I used to have. It was 20 years old and broken down so much it bothered my back. It does loose a little bit of air each day but that is probably because of my weight factor. I just click it on for about a minute before I go to bed and it is fine. It actually has the feel of a water bed which I like much better than that hard airbed feeling the other air mattress provided. and with the blankets, it's a very cozy bed. I was going to use this air mattress till I could decide on a regular mattress.. with all the mattress options it makes you worried you'll buy the wrong one. This air mattress was a quick and inexpensive remedy until I could make a decision. BUT... Now, I'm not in any hurry to spend thousands on a regular mattress when this is just as comfortable for sleeping. I'm going to get a platform frame and stick with this air mattress and see how long it lasts.. I'm hoping a very long time. ... show more

I bought this brand because I own a queen and love this product. Very well made and comfortable. I have not used these mattresses yet but I did test them and all seem fine. Very very easy to inflate and deflate. Height is good and a great price. The bags to store them in are nice because they are a little larger making it easy to put away. I needed an air bed that was high off the ground due to bad knees and this fit the bill. I was worried that it wouldn't hold up for use for 3 months. But it has done beautifully. As others have mentioned, it does lose air over time, but is super easy to just reinflate no problem. But if you have the inflation button against the wall, it's a little inconvenient. I do have a couple of recommendations. Make sure to not put the control device for inflation against the wall. Have it on the side that would be at your feet away from the wall. True story, in my tossing and turning one night, and the control against the wall turned to deflate on its own. I woke up with the bed, nearly deflated practically on the ground. It was no problem, I just turned the knob to inflate and laid there until it rose me up off the ground. It was actually quite fun... I realized after the fact. I also recommend that you try not to put it against walls if possible, just in general. It doesn't make any noise or creaking except against the walls when you toss and turn. As to folding into the bag, I haven't done that just yet but I am sure it will be like any other airbed. A little annoying, but it'll get in there. OMG Are you kidding me!? This is definitely one of my favorite purchases of 2023. I was amazed at the support and consistency of this little 6 lb twin sized wonder. I've been sharing a hotel with a co worker for a couple weeks, sleeping on the fold out couch with the dreaded metal bar. Felt like I was getting battered and bruised on AND off the job. That ended today when this little wonder arrived . It genuinely did inflate itself in about 2 minutes. I guessed at the proper firmness. Hopped on it and slept comfortably through the afternoon til I woke up for nightshift . This was originally going to be my temporary bed at an apt until I can move my actual bed, over Thanksgiving holiday. I'm glad I decided to open it early and test it out right away. Last time I slept on an air mattress 20 years ago it was about 10 inches thick and couldn't be heavily inflated like this 18" Intex model. Parts of my body would sink to the floor. I had high hopes for the Intex mattress based on the reviews. But I'm impressed above and beyond. I'm also more secure in ordering this brand with the 1 year warranty than with some others that don't offer it. There is a slight plastic smell, day 1, but based on other reviews it should subside in time. Would definitely buy again! ... show more

First off, the pump is AMAZING! I had to sleep on this for two weeks. I am a large, 63-year-old woman, but after the first night, I slept very well on this. I was out of town taking care of a very ill family member and was woken up numerous times in the night to care for them. The height of the mattress made it very easy for even me to jump up off the floor from a dead sleep and not kill myself! HIGHLY recommend if you need an air mattress! I had to blow it up and take it down every day, and the pump worked perfectly.
