If you’re looking for a short term coffee solution to get you through a few months of great coffee, this machine is for you. Easy to use, very convenient, makes a great cup of crema. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, just straight espresso and coffee which is exactly what I wanted. I’ve been diligent - religious even about replacing the filter on time, using official Jura tablets for descaling and cleaning. Over the last few weeks, coffee started to come out of the spouts slower and slower. Now it won’t make coffee at all. It’s clearly clogged somewhere. As a last ditch effort. I’ve run 2 back to back cleaning and descaling operations (yes using official Jura tablets). Nadda. She’s done for. Jura support has been useless. Placed multiple calls and no real results. I’m sure if I take the whole thing apart piece by piece I could fix it, but that’s not what I do or how I want to spend hours of my time. So I spent $200 a month for 7 months of great coffee. Funny to think I could have actually saved money going to the local coffee shop every single day. ... show more

    • Jura A4 - not worth the money, buy a different model

If I ever buy another Jura coffee machine it won’t be this model. I have two other older Jura machines, a D6 and an E8. I bought the E8 over 14 years ago and have never had a problem with it. I bought the D6 (for work) five years ago and have never had a problem with it. But the white A4, which I bought 8 months ago has been nothing but problems for me. Twice I’ve had to call Jura support. Jura phone support is excellent. But I’ve never had to call them for the other two machines, only the newest model, the A4. The grinder jammed on me. After getting excellent advice from the Jura support person I was able to clean it. But the machine is very picky about the “dryness/wetness” of the beans, unlike my two older machines (which I still use). I bought the Bluetooth adapter for the A4, because the screen on that newer model is basically useless. I can’t figure out when to clean it, how to clean it (what buttons to push to start cleaning) or if there is some other issue with making my daily espresso and coffee mugs. I do not recommend buying the “cheaper” A4 as they have so dumbed down the interface that the flashing icons are meaningless. My D6 tells me when to empty the basket, clean it, what type of coffee its brewing (espresso, coffee or cappuccino). Simply put, don’t buy this model. Jura machines make great coffee and espresso. But this model doesn’t even really rate the two stars I gave it. It’s a ton of trouble. Oh, yeah, the Bluetooth adapter doesn’t work anymore. I can’t get it to connect to my iPhone. And the Jura app on my iPhone is terrible. Don’t bother with that either. ... show more

Update - I opened it up - cleaned out the gunk and cleared the lines by hand. It’s working again, but for how long? Was great for 8 months, then clogged and leaked. Followed the recommended cleaning and descaling, but nothing helped.
