Have had a previous model for around 6 years been happy with it except the difficulty to adjust the flame. This latest model has better adjustment and is equally as useful as the earlier. We camp and the two units side by side provide excellent flexibility in cooking for small or large groups with two griddles one cast-iron the other is aluminum with high sides. The wind breakers work well shielding the flames and support for the top. Not hard to clean and the OEM boxes are great for storage.

The product itself is overall decent. I have been using a couple times per month for about a year now, and the stove puts out lots of heat pretty evenly with a good amount of room overall. However, as others have mentioned, the controls are not very exact, and it is difficult to get a low flame out of the stove. What really makes this 5 stars though is the warranty support. I had an issue with a leaky regulator pipe come about in the past few months and needed a replacement. I was able to submit a warranty claim through Coleman's website, and after just a few days with one or two emails for some additional details, I was sent a whole new stove, which was above and beyond just the replacement regulator pipe that I needed. For fast and easy warranty support above and beyond what was needed, they have my endorsement.

Tailgate perfect

We used this for six home game tailgate parties this year and it worked fine. With the middle burner, it supplied perfect heat for full length griddles and oval-shaped cast iron pots. It put out high heat but we were able to turn it down and did not have issues with burning food. The side panels worked well to prevent wind blow out. Hooking up the gas canister was easy. Not five stars because of the overall construction. The case metal is much "tinnier" than older Coleman stoves (which may make it lighter for campers) however the metal grate that holds the pots is sturdy and it appears that it will hold up well. As others have reported the latch is poorly designed plastic that is supposed to line up and hold.. Since I was forwarned by other reviews I was extra mindful when securing the latch. Surprisingly ( I was certainly surprised when I opened the liftgate) the stove did survive a fall from the back of the SUV with absolutely no damage. We are packing it differently now. I would buy this again for use on the road or on the deck.

Big brother to the traditional Coleman 2-burner

It is bigger than you might think, but still very portable and solid, which is a serious bonus if you want to put together a real meal with coffee or soup on the side. The cooking surface is about 12x20 inches, the electronic spark lighters work perfectly, and it is easy to connect the propane source. An excellent addition would be a double sided griddle/grill pan in hefty aluminum or sturdy cast iron because so many campgrounds have restrictions on open fires... we use it at home out on the porch to grill without smoking up the house. It puts out 28,000 BTUs so high temp cooking is in the bag. We like it!

Works, but Cheaply Made

It’s a good stove, but cheaply made for the price. I’ve been using it for about 4 or 5 months. Pros: - Large size, and gets an even heating when using a skillet. - Easy to clean. I just spray the whole thing down with 409 and wipe it up. - Compactness - Good power Cons - Cheaply made. Really inspect it thoroughly when you open it. I had a bunch of loose screws that I had to tighten, and even the burners themselves weren’t screwed in all the way. And there was an important, very small pin that helped keep the wind guard attached that was missing but I found in the packaging and almost threw away. I was able to fix all of this though. - The way the lid locks closed is just plane dumb. Mine works okay, but I have to be careful with it. - Attaching the gas can be hard because there’s not enough room for your finders when screwing the tube into the stove. Again, just seems poorly thought out. - The knobs are finicky, it can be a challenge to get the flame to low. Overall, it gets the job done. And will work well for what I need, I just have to be careful with it to make it last. It’s not one you could just throw around.
