The pockets were sewn shut on all of the pockets. I understand it’s to keep the alignment of the pockets perfect and pristine as it’s not meant to wear for functional pockets. Overall 5⭐ because itis made out of quality fabric & material. Sewing done well and the coat feels a bit heavy, just like 100% wool would feel. BUT, unfortunately it is designed based on beauty standards where models are 5'11" to 6' tall. I am 5'8" & while this coat fits perfectly on shoulders, it's loos at the heaps, sleeves are too long and coat almost at my kneecaps. Just received my new coat and am sending it back. The coat was perfect in every way, it just didn't fit me very well. If I wore it when naked, I'd be fine, but that's not how life works. I should have read the fine print better. I take a XL in literally everything I buy clothing wise, and this was, of course XL. But on the sizing chart, XL is defined as a size 46. I wear a 48 in most things. The coat was very attractive on, and I believe it would have been nice and warm and fully functional, had I kept it. Alas, when I tried to exchange it for an XXL, they didn't have one. Apparently, this was designed for a slimmer, younger man, no doubt. The coat is so much heavier, thicker, and nicer quality than I expected. It keeps you so warm. It was clearly used, however. There was some blonde woman's hair all over it. Love the coat. First it's 58% wool. Some people prefer 100% while i like it around 60%. The coat's stylish. Looks great. The only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit long. They cover most of my hands. The chest and waist areas are also loose. I usually just wear a dress shirt underneath a coat. I think one can wear a thick sweater or a suit jacket underneath it. I am returning it to get a smaller one. Note to future buyers, this is not a slim fit coat. If you are only going to wear a shirt underneath, get one size smaller. ... show more

Two days after he started wearing it all sorts of threads appeared, pilling, buttons loose, zippers catching/not sipping ... not impressed at all for the price. Haven’t tried it in really freezing weather yet but I did buy it large enough for layering. 4 outside pockets 2 flap ones on the front and 2 slash ones on the sides of the flap pockets. No internal pockets but just outside the zippered knit front there is one pocket perfect for your phone. And you don’t have to open up to get at the phone. One negative is the sleeves seem a little on the thin side but like I said I did buy it large enough to layer and put a zippered hoodie and scarf underneath. ... show more
