V8 GAS Fits Automatic & Manual Transmission Each intake kit comes with a huge, highly-efficient air filter which results in better performance and better protection for your engine. Most new design are now dry filter instead of oil filter. Our filter do not require oil, it is reusable and washable. You can wash it with soap and water, rinse it until it is all dry up and use it again. We recommend you to check every 5,000 miles to see if it needs to be wash / clean. Silicone is a premium rubber which seals better and lasts longer. The air filter, couplers and tube seals in our intake kits are made from our premium silicone rubber. This means they won't crack, has exceptional tear strength, and can handle temperatures as high as 400F. Also, with a high friction surface and no oily residue, our silicone filters and couplers won’t slide off the tube. MOOSUN air intakes are very easy to install on your car or truck. A typical air intake installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet-set in 90 minutes or less! MOOSUN specifically engineers their intake kits to use existing factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of MOOSUN cold air induction systems do not require any cutting or drilling. Cold air allows to burn fuel more efficiently, comparing to hot air. Step 1 - Make sure your engine is cool to the touch. Step 2 - Disconnect your battery cable from the negative terminal. Step 3 - Remove your old air intake. Step 4 - Attach the silicone coupling that came with the air intake kit to the throttle body. Step 5 - Secure the coupling by tightening a hose clamp at the end. Step 6 - Place another hose clamp on the front of the coupling, but don’t tighten it just yet. Step 7 - Slide the intake tube into the silicone coupling, and ensure that your intake pipe is running from the throttle bay away from the engine bay. Step 8 - Tighten the silicone coupling and secure all brackets on the tube. Step 9 - Plug the mass air flow sensor into the new cold air intake system. Step 10 - Reconnect the battery.Enjoy the new power boosts immediately!

Got this for my 78 Mercury with a 403 stroker fueled by Aces EFI (go check them out!!!). I was surprised it was metal when I got it, the pictures made it look like plastic. Anyways, as ALL chinese companies are the package will NOT arrive looking pretty, sure theres a few scratches on mine but you cannot see it unless you're looking for a problem. If you're on the fence about this purchase just get it, if you've got a carb or TBI its gonna fit regardless of the specifications. Very impressed with the quality. As with all CAIs you're gonna need extra tubing to actually see noticeable improvement in power. out of the box, no matter where you put it it's just a "slightly cooler hot air intake" :) As I said, carb or TBI it'll fit. Had to modify it to fit, bought a spectre adapter for a tbi Chevy truck and it didn’t work. I ended up taking it off. Cleared up a little space under the hood when it was on but that’s about it

I had to modify the peice that attaches to the throttle body (mine is a double hole). I'm mechanically inclined so no biggie. The rest went together Easy-Peasy! Sounds very throaty like a big 700 holly. Throttle response is quicker and I believe fuel economy is better. Well made and is of quality materials. Mine ripped off the backing plate so rode in engine bay for a while I got dust in my engine from this looking like I need a engine rebuild now. Horrible product will never buy again.

It's great for moving the intake charge air from the hot engine But on mine it had a little bit of mig wire left in it that I had to remove Pieces of metal that could fall into the engine With some elbow grease it's a decent product but of the quality remains the same it needs to be either lowered in price to match the quality or the end product quality needs to go up to match the price ... show more
