Super straight forward process to install, never had to cut or shave anything, truck is much happier and can breathe like it should, coating is fragile so can scratch easily, but come on people, its a $90 intake with filter, theres not much more to expect than whats pictured, works great, buy it if your on a budget like me! ... show more

It's an OK cold air intake. Good: very easy to install. All the pieces fit my truck fine(maf, coupler,etc). It's heavy and thick. Bracket was equally thick and solid. Comes with everything you need to install. BAD: The filter didn't fit the unit. The unit opening was just under 4" the filter opening was 3 1/4". If I hadn't put everything together before I would've been in the middle of my install and SOL. Lucky my truck was getting fixed and I brought my CAI to the shop and he gave me a k&n filter that fit. Extremely upset about that as I have to get buy a new one for proper air flow. The hose that comes with it you will have to cut about 2" off(not a big deal..as that is pretty common on all of these), then it fits fine. No directions but if you go on YouTube you can see how to install(very easy.. basic tools and simple skills will suffice). All in all it's about what I expected, nothing fancy but usable. I'll be upgrading soon, just using this because it's better than the oem. If you buy this don't expect super gains out of it but DO expect for there to be some minor issues with varying pieces. I went with 4stars cause it does look good, it functions as it should and the price is reasonable(even though i have to spend an extra $50 to get a proper filter... would be nice if yall sent the correct one since i did pay for it) , but I probably should've went 3 stars. ... show more

Its not very well built. Nothing likes up, rubs the charge pipe as well as the degas bottle. Not expanded on the ends to hold the boots. Was still full of shavings when i got it. The crank case tube is isn’t aimed at the valve cover. The map sensor mount isnt cented up to the hole in the pipe, had to smooth it out, and debur every cut made in the pipe. 2/3 hose clamps fell apart while tightening it. I went with three stars as it at least fit my husband's F-350 quite well, and was a pretty straightforward installation. The item as pictured on Amazon is depicted as a fully anodized kit. What we got was unfortunately not. The small parts were, but the primary intake tube was not. It was just a poorly matched, painted piece. I also ordered the intercooler pipes (from this same manufacturer) which will arrive this afternoon. I expect the finish will likely be the same. Others here have posted pictures of this exact product, which appears to match what it pictured, so I have to wonder why I got a painted piece instead of the anodized part that others actually received. If the the intercooler pipes that arrive today are actually as pictured, then this will need to be either replaced, or we'll have to have it anodized locally. Very disappointing. So after receiving the intercooler tubes, the difference in the finish of the two products is quite glaring. Doubtful I can do much other than have the local paint shop finish the CAI tube. Hubby was really looking forward to adding this set to his truck 😒 ... show more

Well to start the color isn’t even what they have as their ad. Way off from the red in the picture. It is so poorly made. Which I thought it would be bad being a 100 dollar intake. But it is really bad. Terrible welds, metal shavings inside the intake, poor quality filter. I would advise buying something better. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone ... show more

This is installed in an 04 excursion with a 6.0. Install wasnt ‘horrible’ but it wasnt super pleasant. Before installing intake piping needed to be de-burred, MAF sensor mount needed to be reworked to sit properly (passed bubble test once rework was done). Pcv hose needed to be modified. Used a mix of factory hose connection into valve cover side, and used prebent hose i had laying in the garage. If pcv hook up was better this system would be rated higher stars but that was the biggest fight for me ... show more
