You will also need to drive the car and possibly flash codes then do a relearn like with any intake/exhaust modification. Overall great product with easy to read instructions. Overall install time with 2 people only took 2 hours from start to finish.

There are better made kits, but this one is a good value kit for the price. It may take a moment to put together, and install the whole replacement air intake. But you can get it installed and looking nice in an afternoon. Do not expect to increase your horsepower to some extreme amount, but it can make your car sound better. And changing the air filter out is a bit easier. I put a washable filter in so all I have to do is wash the filter out every year or so. It’s a bit easier to reach certain engine maintenance items with the “cold” air intake installed also. Do not use oiled filters if you are putting this on a German car. You will wreck your MAF sensor. Luckily I caught that little bit of info before buying the other washable filter.

The cold air intake kit was a nice upgrade and installed without too much hassle. The parts feel well made and the improved airflow gives the engine a slightly more responsive feel along with a better intake sound. It’s a good value for anyone wanting a simple performance boost without spending a fortune. It gives a good little performance boost and makes my car purr.

Installed this on a 2012 Jetta TSI with aftermarket turbos and few other performance upgrades, but still a daily driver. It was a perfect fit. Installed easily and took about 35 minutes in all to remove the original and install this kit. Only needed a couple hand tools to do it all. It adds a little bit of horsepower and increased miles per gallon. Not a huge amount on either but enough to pay for itself in the near future. So really can't go wrong. Best feature this kit provides is the massive sound increase and intake noise. It has a very loud growl in the lower RPMs. The intake kit matches the trim inside the engine bay perfectly so that's a plus too. Just looks like a performance upgraded part from the factory. Aluminum tubing is so much better for airflow than plastic. It's smoother and lets the air slide along faster and easier, producing more air flow and more power. Not to mention the massive sounds as previously described. The heat shield is better quality than most kits I have looked into. It's precise fit and quality design is why I went with this one. It's an excellent value for the money! Can't think of any other way to get combination of performance increase, gas mileage increase, and audible awesomeness.
