  • Perfect for camping
The size is good and it folds for travel

  • Nice for an emergency kit
I bought this to put in an emergency kit. It would be nice to have in that situation. Its sort of in between the size you would actually take or use backpacking, and something more useful for car camping/glamping. For an emergency kit though I think its awesome to have.

  • Backpacking Grill!
Fit well in my 60L pack for 10mile backpacking trip. Used to grill and stood up well. Had a concern of being wobbly, so I put a stone near it. Stone helped to reduce the wind but the grill was sturdy without the need of support. For the Low low $$ it was worth the little weight.

  • Light weight and sturdy
Bought this for my first backpacking trip. It did it's job and didn't add much weight. I used a tyvek priority mail envelope to wrap it up so it wouldn't poke a hole in anything and wouldn't get soot on anything after use. I saw that tip in another review and it worked really well!

  • The legs are too long for my purposes.
This guy's pretty good, but not perfect--at least for my area. If I went camping in hardwood forests a lot, I might be tempted to cook things over open flame, in which case this grill's long legs might have some usefulness. As it is, the most common trees where I camp are conifers, which give off pretty nasty smoke. Because of this, I have to wait for the wood to burn down to coals before cooking over it, and at that point the legs are way too tall. I usually use the grill with the legs folded, resting on some rocks or sticks and straddling the bed of embers at a height of no more than 2 inches. I might even cut the legs off at some point, because so far they just get in the way. One minor note unrelated to the overall quality of the grill--I tried using it as a pot stand over a small camp stove at one point for added stability. BAD IDEA. One of the wires that form the grill got way too hot and nearly melted, sagging substantially. Since that's not the intended purpose I don't think it's worth any stars off, but it's worth knowing. ... show more

  • Just fun, wasn't expecting much. It did the job

  • Small but durable
This was good for traveling. Grill is small for cooking maybe 4 small burgers. But it works very well and fast

  • Works
I wouldn't put a tri tip on it but sausages or small fish works
