This is a very nice dash cam with an interior rear cam. The mount is solid and the camera slides in and out of the mount pretty easily. I am replacing a cheap dashcam I already had so the power plug was already in place. I do plan to hardwire this unit. The unit comes with both cameras, temporarily location strips, wire clips and everything else you will require. Because I drive a truck with a cap, the rear camera won’t do much good, I need the exterior one which I will be ordering. The dash cam is good sized and once I got Bluetooth to work the camera automatically connected to Apple car play where I could see the maps on a larger screen. Downloading the app was easy and once I establish a login, it worked without a problem. Bluetooth was a struggle and I had to restart the camera and my phone before I got it to work. Probably an issue with my phone as I only restart the thing after upgrades do it automatically. Using the app it does take over the map on my car play. Not yet sure if I like that as my maps have several custom locations configured. I haven’t yet tried all the various options with this dash cam but I can tell you it was not happy when I was 10mph over the speed limit. But it did correctly warn me. Having cloud capability, privacy mode, mayday function in case you are in a bad accident and various other capability is really nice. Hoping to never need the mayday function. The micro SD that comes with the unit is too small if you are storing 4k video. I plan to expand that to maximum capacity. Cobra says to go to their site for compatibility but they don’t have a 512GB card. Probably the only down side for me is the camera location. It is at the bottom of the unit, expecting you to set the camera higher up. For me, the unit is placed low and would have been better to have the camera at the top of the unit. It isn’t big an issue but can’t get the unit as low on the windshield as I wanted. If I go too low I only see the truck hood. Overall I’m pretty happy. Like I said, I haven’t yet played with every function but the controls are intuitive, the connection to CarPlay is seamless and the unit is doing everything I had hoped it would. Would have been 5 star if the camera was on the unit top, came with an exterior rear camera, came with a large sd card and leveraged wireless technology for the rear camera. so 4 stars ... show more

The Cobra smart dual view dash cam feels solidly built, and has clear video quality. Installation was generally straightforward, especially for the front camera. I ended up not using the rear camera due to the long cable run to the back. The app support and additional features like cloud capability and privacy mode are appreciated, but I experienced issues with Bluetooth connectivity and the app. There is some wonkiness with incorrect date and time settings, and difficulties with the app. Overall I think you can get the same or better performance in a cheaper camera. ... show more

This is a very high quality dash cam with both front and rear cameras and great app support. Installation is not the easiest for the rear camera but the front cam is simple enough if you just want to plug it in, but I chose to hardwire so that I have the option of using the parking sensor. Seriously though, picture quality is great and downloading videos through the app is quick and easy.
