Work hands-free with light right where you need it. The COAST XPH30R is a RECHARGEABLE DUAL POWER product that provides the user the convenience and cost savings of COAST’s ZITHION-X rechargeable power source but can also operate using disposable CR 123 lithium batteries (purchased separately) so you are never without your light. The XPH30R headlamp features a weather-proof and dust-resistant aluminum body that rolls in its bracket for dynamic directional lighting. Patented Pure Beam focusing technology delivers variable lighting with seamless transitions between flood beam and spot beam, plus four output options: medium, high, low, and COAST’s mega-bright Turbo Mode. If I could give this over 5 stars, I would. I absolutely LOVE this headlamp. It lasts for over a week with periodic use, and lasts most of the day with heavy use. This is the brightest headlamp I have seen so far in my career, even brighter than the very overpriced Milwaukee headlamps, and the charge lasts longer too. My only gripe is that it does take about 5/6 hours to charge from fully dead to fully charged. But, with the convenience that the light comes off the band easily, you can set the light part aside to charge without having to take the band off your hard hat. Finally, I like the focusing beam because it adds a bit more light to precise operations. I love this headlamp so much that when I lost it, I was heartbroken for days until my new one showed up in the mail. If I ever lose this one, I’ll buy the same one again and again. This light changed my night hiking experience! This unit is extremely durable. As a Marine, this reminds me of milspec gear that I would use in the Corps. It has a very solid metal chassis and a great hand feel when unscrewing the caps or dialing in the light. It's also water proof or extremely water resistant, as I've used it in the rain several times without issue. Being able to adjust both the angle and the light coverage (narrow beam, area flood light, or something in between) is an absolute game changer. Couple that with a very positive feel as you adjust and dial in your preference and this thing simply rocks! It requires very little attention and becomes second nature. This thing lights up the are like it's daytime. The power button is extremely easy to find and use as well. It is a smidge heavier then some of my lightweight or ultralight headlamps (ie. Nitecore) but the battery life is phenomenal and the ease of use combined with the amount of light is top-notch. Finally, the rechargeable battery that is built in is awesome. Not only is there a USB-C recharge port on the unit that allows the battery to be recharged without taking it out but the battery itself can be removed and recharged also via USB-C. That also means you can have backup batteries, pre-charged that can be taken on a hike or camping trip. Not the most comfortable wear, but fabulous features, quality, and value. Love the moon glow feature. Just enough illumination to see without blinding anybody. The one button super bright blast is a nice defensive and emergency feature also. Excellent headlamp for very challenging environments as it is built rock solid with several durability features. I have yet to use it long enough for the battery life to be any issue whatsoever. I have no idea how many days it would keep burning. ... show more

I decided to buy this lamp because a friend recommended it, and I absolutely love it. It's small but very practical. It has a modern design and a powerful, adjustable beam. Plus, one end is magnetic, and the battery lasts a long time. A top-notch product.

I purchased my first one of these in March of 2022. I'd been searching for a great work headlamp and probably went through half a dozen before landing on this one. Fast forward two years now and I've got two of them, my entire work team has at least one of them (some have two). We usually strap one to our hardhats full time and keep the other one on the elastic strap for using on a ball cap or just bareheaded. Mine stays in my go bag because I use it for all kinds of things. The magnetic base makes it absolutely awesome for working in over head areas in construction. It'll stick to beams, threaded rod, grid wire, ceiling grid - just about anything. The light lasts long enough for a full day's use with no problem. Having two of them is awesome because I can keep one on me and snap the other in an overhead space, or I can just snap the other one out of its bracket and swap it out if I forgot to charge the battery the night before. Two weeks ago my charging port stopped working. I tested it by leaving it on the charging cable overnight and the battery was still at 28% the next morning. The cool thing is - I can just take the battery out and charge it in my 18650 charger, so still no big deal. But on a whim I decided to check with Coast and see about their warranty process. After all it's been two years and 3 months.... not likely to be covered. I explained the situation in their warranty claim form, and 5 minutes later I had an answer. I DID include multiple photos of the headlamp because their warranty page said that submittals with photos get a much faster response. Anyway, I get an email 5 minutes later with no questions, no asking me to verify this or that. Just a quick line saying sorry your product failed to perform - and here's the link to a free replacement! Wow, that was quick. I clicked the link, entered my info, and submitted the email. I filed my claim on Friday, May 3rd. This is Monday May 6th and my free replacement is on the way and will be here today. You absolutely can't beat that level of customer service. I used to "like" their products, but now I'm sold on them 100%. Anyone can make a good product one time. But taking 5 minutes to treat a customer right like that will earn my business for a lifetime. ... show more
