I decided I might try to write a book, and my typing isn't spectacular, so I decided to get a mic so I could dictate through MS Word. This mic is very plain, but it really works well and has a small footprint on my desk. Easy to place out of the way if I'm not using it. It was completely easy to set it up, plug and play and it worked just like that. It is very responsive, with almost no errors in speech to text. The adjustable gooseneck lets me angle it to get the best results. It picks up my voice really well even a couple feet away. I have also used it for some Zoom meetings along with my webcam because it sounds better than the built in mic on my camera. Can't beat this for the price! ... show more

Great mic! It is so easy to just plug in and ready to use. My computer doesn't have a built in mic so I got this so that I could talk to my friends when we play our online game. It is non-intrusive as it doesn't take up a lot of space and pretty sensitive to pick up talking as I can sometimes still communicate by talking a little louder from the kitchen. The cord length is perfect for hanging over the back of my desk and plugging into my computer which extra cord left over if I need to move it closer. No connectivity issues and it has a sleek look. Edit: I bought one for my husband's computer gaming set up. He really likes it and works great. Edit 2: Just ordered a new one for myself since the first one I bought stopped working completely. I don't think it is any fault of the manufacturer though. I had it sitting on the edge of my desk and it has been knocked on the ground a couple of times from my cat jumping on my desk and once from my dog jumping up trying to get the cat. :) I will be sure to find a new place for the new one to prevent that from happening again! ... show more

There are few things in life that live up to expectations, and this microphone surpassed every hope that I had. It picks up everything clearly and all I had to do was plug it into my ancient Lenovo laptop with Linux operating system. There are instructions for other OS's, but go ahead and try it first to see if you even have to mess with that. Sound level is perfect, words are perfectly articulated and clear. Seems like this will be compatible with almost any system. Plug into USB port, and give it a whirl. My internal microphone died for some reason, so meetings were impossible. Now it's like a new machine. There's a microphone testing site called mictests where you can easily see and test whatever microphones you have, be they headphones, earbuds, or external mics like this one. The playback was perfection. SO easy to use, just plug in and go, at least for my system. Highly recommended. ... show more
