I've used several types of crochet hooks and they all leave me with sore hands and fingers. I can use this type for hours with no issues. It's light and I guess the way the handle is shaped makes me not have to grip it as hard as others. I love these and I'm working on getting them in all sizes.

I love the length but cant grip. I have arthritis, carpal tunnel etc. I cant hold these hooks like I can the amour ones they make. Many people love these but if you have any type of hand pain I wouldn't recommend. The small black part isn't soft to me. Quality is good.
