I just replastered my pool with mini-pebbles and have been dialing in the chemical levels and am using this product plus some CYA conditioner to get the CYA level within tolerance. So far, pH and chorine levels are holding nicely and the water looks perfect. This is a good price for shock. BTW, a few years back I was having problems maintaining chlorine levels due to excessive CYA levels. The remedy was to totally ditch the chorine pucks and use liquid chlorine. After that switch, the water remains perfect, I don't have to run the filter more than 3-4 hours per day even with the water at 90 degrees and the filter needs cleaning far less often. I buy the 4 pack of liquid chlorine from a pool store which is 12.5% chlorine and fresh, vs. the packaged 2 packs from the big box stores which can be somewhat dated and only 10% chlorine. I'm never going back to the pucks. ... show more

Product is as expected. No issues with Clorox shock at all. Works as intended. It would have worked weeks earlier if it actually shipped when it said, April 15. I then got notice on April 18 that it delivered. Oops, take that away…it shows out for delivery…for two weeks. I finally got it on May 3. Long after I went to brick and mortar and bought another six pack. Shipper, driver, whoever…get it together. ... show more

The % of Active Ingredient is higher then other brands of shock sold. I have used this brand for about 3 years now and it works fine. If you check the ingredients label, compared to the other brands of pool shock, you will find it has more active % of the main ingredient for shocking your pool. CLOROX has a newer package and formula with some additional Blue in the product, which you don't need at the additional price for shock. ... show more
