The built in pulley is pure genius. Saves time adding a pulley to a basic 3-1 ascension system. Less time fiddling with devices with gloves on is always a win. At first glance this tool is well made, and in use it performs very well.

    • Awesome Ascender.
This ascender is awesome. I have a Petzl Ascender and it works great but you have to add a redirect pulley or carabiner to the top to make it efficient. This Ascender from Climbing Technology has the pull incorporated into it and it makes using it simple. Thank you for this new design concept.

Works great and allows for easy mechanical advantage when ascending by running the tag end of the rope through the pulley. Having the pulley attached to the ascender reduces the number of pieces of equipment I have to manage and reduces the noise of the a separate pulley and ascender.

All the benefits of a typical ascender but the built in pulley gives you mechanical advantage all in one neat package without the need for additional carabiners and pulleys. Well built and easy to use!
