The car seat is pretty tall so she can see everything outside. She’s not “laying down” like in the infant car seat, which she enjoys. The car seat is very safe. It’s a great car seat, yes but it is so heavy which makes it hard to move and fit just right. Also the zipper I thought was going to be great for cleaning, just as I was installing it the zipper pulled apart and broke! Very disappointing for an almost 600$ car seat. This is my second Foonf and I also have a Nuna Rava. My kids love the foonf. No complaints about the Rava but they only ever sleep in the foonfs and that's a big win on longer trips. The chair is built like a tank and is the only one that has merino wool (mammoth fabric). Install is easy once you watch the install video. Took me 10 minutes to install. I appreciate that this product allows kids up to 50lbs to be rear facing! It is a very simple design however is very bulky. If you want to use this for rearfqcing make sure you have a van so that both the front seats can be utilized. I do not think this would fit in a small sedan but would work in a large suv or van.
