Bought 2 of these to protect the chicken run from wind & snow in the winter as my coop & run has a south orientation. I secured it to the run with zip ties (these do come with elastic tie wraps but they wouldn’t have worked for my 1/2in hardwire cloth but I knew that when I purchased the tarps) B/c the tarps were slightly larger than what I needed I folded the excess plastic down & folded it under after I secured it to the run wall & placed rocks on the excess material to keep it from blowing like a sail in strong winds. Pro: moderately heavy plastic, no weird smell, decent fabric edge for stability to secure the grommet holes, so far it has kept my run completely free of snow. HUGE plus is that the plastic is clear & thick enough to allow for some heat retention in the open run when the sun is shining on a winter day & the chickens really enjoy that. Cons: as with most tarps there aren’t nearly enough grommet holes to secure this as tight as I would like to be flush with the run wall. (I may add more grommet holes to secure more tightly for my preferences, when it’s really windy the tarps move some & crinkle loudly & my spoiled young chickens are unsure of it-but this is my preference) Overall I am very pleased with the purchase for my intended purposes & would recommend. As with any tarp out in the elements they breakdown with time so we will see how long these hold up but I anticipate a few years based on my planned lighter use. Michigan winters can be weird but these may only need to be in place from November to April.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect! I wanted to block some of the wind in my coop run. I have a huge run outside of the outer coop run, as the pictures show my chickens decided to keep warm in my inner coop run today as the temperatures are in the teens. They will go out in the snow normally but not today! This allows them to get out of the coop in the sun for warmth without taking on winds. I thought I’d never use the Fasteners but they were perfect to Attach the tarps to the Run fencing! The price can’t be beat and I feel the quality is good ! After reading a few reviews I thought the plastic was going to be super thin, it’s not! I’m sure they will stand up to a few winter here in Northern NJ !

Trim tore loose from the plastic on first use. Ordered 2 @ end of summer prepping for cool weather. When weather turned cool hung one up on one side of our patio . After it had been up a few days noted the binding on one side had pulled off that side. Binding has held on other sides , plastic itself seems to be holding up & 2nd curtain is still in pkg. By my guesstimation it seems maybe the binding was not placed far enough onto the plastic before it was stitched on. It was already past the return date by the time I used the panel for the first time so unable to return the faulty panel. Gave stars for strength of plastic & the fabric binding. But sorry to say the binding didn’t stay on.
