When the seat is in the full upright position, the headrest is too far forward and causes a forward head position which is terrible for posture. When fully reclined the headrest position is acceptable. Unfortunately, the headrest lacks the much needed forward and aft (horizontal/longitudinal) adjustment and also lacks easy/tool-less installation. As a result the headrest is not configurable in such a way as to meet your immediate needs (like switching between upright working to reclined movie watching). I have used the headrest for several months now and have finally decided to remove it for the sake of my seated posture, to the detriment of my reclined comfort. ... show more

Great addition to an already awesome chair. The height can be adjusted, which is great for taller people. I didn’t know until I accidentally pulled on the head rest. It also “reclines” when you tilt your head up.

    • Tilt adjustment does not stay in place, forces head forwards

The height adjustment is great, but the tilt adjustment can be changed simply by leaning into the headrest. Even when tightened using the two hex bolts it can easily move. Also, the headrest does force your head a bit more forward than I would like. I ended up not using the headrest on my chair but every individual is different. ... show more

Easy to assemble, and I've gotten multiple jealous comments from my Zoom companions about having a headrest. It is comfortable (I'm 6'1") and while I don't use it every moment, when I do was glad I spent the little extra money for it.

    • Pushes my head forward, needed extra tools and holes to assemble it

This headrest didn't work for me. I had to make extra holes with a drill to attach it to my chair, and no matter what I did, it would always push my head too forward. I bought it to do exactly the opposite, as I'd like to sit back and have a better posture. I wouldn't recommend this as it doesn't come with instructions.
