This is exactly like the OEM in looks. The fingers that hold the support to the chair are a hair looser than the OEM, however not enough to affect it's utility. The lumbar support stays in place with no problems and actually is easier to adjust when needed b cause of the less firm grasp. There are no manufacturing defects, funky smells or other issues I can find. I've been using it daily for at least 2 weeks, and I give it a major thumbs up. Unless you push this support all the way to the base of the chair back (which, for me, is not my lumbar) this pops off daily.

Fits and works just like the OEM part. Just make sure you the correct size for you chair. The item originally suggested (from a previous purchase) was the wrong size. I had send it back and get the correct size.

    • Comfortable, but breaks easily
Update 9/10/21: Well it finally shattered completely today. So that's it - it lasted 6 weeks under normal use for a relatively light person. Wouldn't recommend buying this unless you are specifically looking for a very temporary solution. Original review: Not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say this item doesn't fit or pops off easily. Mine fits perfectly and has never come off. It's comfortable and has helped a lot with my lower back pain. Downside is the clips on the side are cheap plastic. A couple other reviewers noted this and mentioned the clips breaking, but I figured they were just overweight. I can now confidently say that's not the case. I'm 5'7" and 134 lbs and the clips are still breaking regularly. There is a long row of plastic semicircles on each side that hold this thing in place, and about once a week one of those clips shatters. At this rate I imagine the support will last a few months at most. Really a shame, because otherwise this support is perfect. I wish they had reinforced the clips with steel or something to keep this from happening. ... show more

    • Not as stiff as original, but better than nothing
This version is not quite as stiff/dense (it is a dense foam with plastic brackets embedded), as the original that came with the chair. For the cost (atom 1/3 of OEM) it is ok, but definitely not as supportive.

Perfect fit for my Herman Miller Aeron B-size chair. My previous back support had split down the middle and this was a great alternative to ordering direct from the mfr at a higher price.
