  • My new all-in-on piano book
I have stacks and stacks of loose piano sheet music, but I love to have a book with a comprehensive collection like this one. I can grab this one book and play through some of the easier pieces for pleasure or challenge myself a bit and tackle a new piece at a higher skill level. Whichever the case, I am satisfied with the quality and variety of the music in this set. Since the book is organized by composers in alphabetical order, you won’t waste time thumbing through the book looking for a missing song. Composers’ dates and song sources are listed under each title. I highly recommend this collection for piano players from intermediate to advanced. There is something for everyone and well worth the cost. So many moods and styles to keep you engaged. You will keep coming back to this book for more musical enjoyment and growth. ... show more

  • Great collection for study, intermediate to advanced
Format: Paperback
I’m re-introducing myself to piano, after years of not playing, and I find that this is a good collection, especially for intermediate to advanced students. It has a few pieces that could be practiced by a beginner student, such as Prelude in E Minor by Chopin, but for the most part, this book is on the advanced side. It would have been nice if they could have created sections for Beginner, Intermediate, etc, nut as it is, you have to search for a piece that looks like it could be on your level. Either that, or have your piano teacher suggest a few pieces for you. In any case, the price is good for this collection. It is a bit difficult to keep open on a music stand, but you can just buy a metal music book clip, sold here on Amazon. They work great! ... show more

  • The greatest collection of classical piano music!
Format: Paperback
I have searched the earth for a collection of classical piano music this good. I have played piano for 46 years, taught lessons for 12 years, and played professionally in the past. This collection has all the best works of all the great composers, and more. I don't see any wrong notes or mistakes so far. I prefer no finger #'s and so do my students. After over a decade of teaching and playing extensively, I have realized that finger numbers are more a crutch that prevent you from figuring out your own best path. Some of the songs are intermediate level and some are more advanced. I am in heaven playing all of these songs. They are all beautiful and just wonderful to play. Don't waste your money on classical sheet music or composer or period songbooks. GET THIS ONE. You won't regret it. At last I am playing a lot of classical music again. Oh what joy!! ... show more

  • Binding of book.
Format: Paperback
The book is beautiful, but a binding is not as comfortable, it is difficult to keep open on a piano. Not a bad selection of pieces, but I would like more details close to the originals. Some pieces are for just beginners.

  • Great for intermediate and advanced pianists
I love the simplicity and organization of this book. The table of contents is well-organized, and it is easy to find specific composers and/or specific pieces. This book offers many choices and contains a very good selection of classics. This might be too advanced for beginners, but I think intermediate and experienced players can easily follow along. This is a well-organized, very helpful book with a great selection. ... show more

  • All the best classical piano pieces
Format: Paperback
I found this book when hunting for Chopin's Prelude in E Minor. Not all the Amazon reviews were stellar, so I took a chance. This book is FABULOUS. It has all the famous short intermediate-level classical piano pieces I want. My skill level is intermediate. I can play the first movement of Moonlight Sonata, but that's about my limit. This book hits the sweet spot. A lot of the pieces in this book will be a stretch for me, but nearly all of them are achievable. Some people complained about misprints, with pages upside-down. My copy doesn't have that problem. Some people complained that the book doesn't contain complete pieces. To my delight I found that nothing had been shortened. Rather, sometimes the book includes only one movement from a longer piece (e.g. Moonlight Sonata, 1st Movement). As far as I can tell, none of the pieces have been arranged, or edited, or shortened. This is my new favorite piano music book. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Love this book
Format: Paperback
I love this book. I have marked several songs that I want to learn. I usually just play for fun, and the whole book is too difficult for me, but I love the songs, and it is a good stretch for me. It has classic songs like Hungarian Dance, Reverie, Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor, Humoresque...

  • Pianist sister loves it
Format: Paperback
I got this for my sister, who is learning how to play the piano. She said that she likes it. I do not know anything about playing the piano, so I assume this was a good book to use. I had to get a replacement the first time around though, because the book arrived folded in half, so the cover and the pages were ruined. The replacement was perfect. ... show more
