The media could not be loaded. We had a wood burning fireplace that we never used due to the mess, trouble getting wood and the overall possible dangers. There was a lot of cold air coming into the house there so I tried to think of a way to block that and decided an electric fireplace insert would be the quickest, easiest and least expensive. It also turned out to be pretty nice looking. We were amazed at how realistic it looked for the price. I agree with others that the wood crackling sound is awful so we just leave that turned off. Heat output is ok but we don't often need it now that the cold air is blocked. The only thing I would have done differently is to buy one with a better remote. You have to be almost straight out from the sensor for it to work. We're very happy we paid the extra $50 to get one with the mesh screen and doors. It really helps to make it look real and was well worth the extra cost.

We chose this electric fireplace after a recent renovation that converted a living room into a bedroom. We wanted to retain the look of the original traditional wood burning fireplace but not a fire in a bedroom, nor did we want a gas fireplace, for similar safety reasons. This is a well made unit that fits perfectly into our 36" X 27" firebox. It looks absolutely fantastic! Forget about the "fire sound affect" as it sounds more like radio static. We haven't completely figured out the remote, which we will probably lose anyways. the on face controls are great as are the functional doors and screen. Highly recommend!

Beautiful addition to our living room. Large piece with big bright realistic fireplace that puts out a nice amount of heat when heat option is turned on, and roomy bookcases on each end. Nice detail and nice and sturdy. After a year the fireplace started malfunctioning. Customer support was great and a new motherboard was sent out along with step by step visual instructions to replace it. Fireplace is back up and running perfectly. Only downside, after more than a year, there is still a wierd smell in the bookcases. It's ok as long as they are closed.

We bought this fireplace insert in October 2022, it's December 2022 and I wanted to review thus far. It delivered quickly and very easy to install. The heat output is very warm 2 settings low and high heats my 20x12 room (240 sq ft) within 15 minutes on high. 3 fire light settings and 3 overhead light settings (pictured). We love the warm and cozy atmosphere of this insert.

It's a nice looking unit . I would say everything is nice except the sound makes a weird sound about every 10 seconds . It's not anything like a wood fire sound .

The box was kind of beat up, but we accepted the delivery since it didn't look terrible and was not punctured or torn. When I took it out of the box, though, I quickly saw the cabinet had been squeezed and crushed. Then when examining the front, the glass doors had also been pushed in. I got one door open, but the top of the other door had actually been pushed in and lodged behind the door stop at the top of the frame. It won't budge. The door frame itself is also bent in at the bottom of that door. We're disappointed, and since it's the Christmas season we can't get it picked up for return until December 28. We blocked off our Airbnb (where we're installing it) for the month of January to do some remodeling. And we're modifying a stone fireplace that leaks smoke to install this unit as part of our remodeling efforts. This outfit was nearly $700, and we're told it will be up into January before Amazon gets our bank account credited for the return, and in the interim we now have to order and pay for another one. Hopefully we can still get one and get it shipped to us soon or we may have trouble getting the work done in January. BTW, we plugged it in to see if it still worked. It did. The flames and logs are OK. The crackling sound doesn't sound natural. And if we buy this unit again, when we finally get it installed I'll be using a magic marker or black paint to cover up the LED lights showing through the very bottom of the fake coals (especially the blue lights). The coals above the lights look OK, but it's clear that the lights on the very bottom are indeed . . . well . . . points of light.
