I would highly recommend these running boards to someone who wants something sturdier than an OEM option. These are unique in the sense that you can angle them level to act as steps, or in my case raise them close to the body for maximum clearance. Keep in mind these are not true rock sliders but will protect your rocker panel from light obstacles/parking lot door dings. They look great, are easy to install and the price is reasonable for what you’re getting, the powder coat finish is excellent, hardware’s quality as well. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to set their truck apart from the rest, additionally, the red insert piece is removable with two 10mm nuts removed for those looking for a more subtle look. I was looking for something to make it easier for my wife to get into my truck, and also provide a little protection from car doors in the parking lots. I didn't need true rock sliders, so I thought I'd give these a shot. I was very pleased when I opened the box. Everything was well packaged and undamaged, even though the box looked like it had been handled roughly. The parts were well marked, so it was easy to figure out where everything was supposed to go. Often times, the hardware that comes with these things is noticeably poor quality, but this hardware was satisfactory. Seems like it will hold up pretty well. The coating on the bars looks like it was applied very well. The finish was consistent on all surfaces and there were no chips or scratches on anything. No drilling was required - everything attached using factory holes. It probably took me about 45 minutes to install by myself. I did not care for the red accents and was pleased to find them removeable. The red painted metal plates are each held on with two 10mm nuts, split washers and flat washers - they were easy to remove. It was easy to install and was a truly heavy duty product. It makes my Tacoma look better. The only negative as others have said is that they give you the exact number of bolts, washers and nuts. One of the bolts has a thread issue requiring going out and getting a replacement bolt to finish the job. ... show more

I’m quite impressed with these running boards. The installation on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport was easy and the instructions were straightforward. They work great, have a perfect height, are adjustable and the coating prevents slips. I wasn’t missing any parts, but two of the nuts were fouled and I had to buy replacements at the hardware store.
