    • Battery heats up and bike shuts off after 10 min.
Got this for my grown daughter for Christmas. Rode one time for 10 min bc of battery heats up and bike shuts off . Tried battery in my other bike and it done the same thing, so it is not the bike, it is the battery.

    • Works decent, bad accessories and instructions
Assembly: The bike is packed well and didn't have damage, but instructions were poorly made. I ended up ignoring the text and just estimating based on the pictures. This is an issue for adjusting the brakes though, and I recommend looking up a tutorial on general brake adjusting. It can be very finicky, and I still haven't gotten the front brake quite right. Function: The pedal assist is decently strong. It'll require moderate assistance on hills (think road overpass type inclines). Interestingly, level 1 assist actually takes me up to 10-11 mph instead of the 6mph listed. Odd, but acceptable. Only worrying thing is the shifting. The chain often jumps multiple times when shifting, and this can lead it to de-track for a second on gears 1+7. On gear 1 especially it often de-tracks, bumps the wheel hub, and then re-tracks. The range isn't living up to expectations either. I've ridden it maybe 20 miles and had to recharge it twice while only using assist mode. Don't expect more than a couple moderate length trips between charges or you'll end up with just a heavy bike halfway through your trip like I did. Accessories: Don't bother getting the fenders or rear rack. The fenders are tiny plastic pieces that rub the tires and won't actually catch much debris. The rear fender and rack both attach to the seat column, so if you need it low, they won't be compatible. Additionally, the front mount for a basket is smaller than expected, so many baskets don't actually fit it. And if you're planning on upright biking, turning the handlebar around will prevent and handlebar mounted baskets too. ... show more
