Does the outdoor camera S1 need a cloud subscription to function? No. You can use app alerts, an SD card (not included), or choose our optional cloud plan. Any of these three options works. Why does the app show picture alerts instead of video alerts? You can switch between picture and video alerts in the app under Motion Alert settings. Do the wireless outdoor security cameras only work with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi? Yes, only 2.4GHz is supported. If you're using a dual-band router, temporarily turn off the 5GHz band during setup to prevent connection issues. Can the S1 security camera record all the time? No. To save battery, S1 only records when motion is detected and stays in standby mode when there's no movement. Why is there a rainbow stripe on my camera's live view screen? I've been really happy with this outdoor camera. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night, and the night vision does a great job of capturing what's happening around my property after dark. The two-way talk feature is especially useful because I can communicate with visitors or delivery drivers even when I'm not home. One of my favorite features is the built-in solar panel. It keeps the camera charged without having to worry about constantly replacing or recharging batteries, which makes it very low maintenance. These work really well. I love that they are solar powered and completely wireless which gives me so much more freedom when placing them. The image is good and clear, and the night vision is really good as well. Alerts can be set to alert for all motion or only humans. I have mine set to attach a video clip of motion which is really nice. There are options to subscribe to a plan that will alert if motion is human, pet, vehicle or package. I don't subscribe, but that would be a nice feature. You can set a recording schedule, change the detection area within the view, change the motion sensitivity and the retrigger interval. These have a 2-way microphone, a siren that can manually be turned on to scare someone/something off, a light option, and the ability to turn the camera on/off from the app There's also the option to share access to each camera with someone else. These are stationary cameras and cannot pan different directions once set up. The only thing to keep in mind is how far it is from your wifi router and how far your wifi reach is. One of mine is set up in an area where the signal is weak, so it doesn't always pick up on all motion. I'm sure if I bought a wifi extender that would. I'm not sure if it would still record if there was no wifi available if it had a sd card in it. I may have to try that out as I think it would be nice to set one up a little closer to the woods behind my house. Overall, I really like the camera. ... show more

Will be returning. These are not the cameras you are looking for. The movement records too late and often misses a lot of activity and movement. Ex cars leaving the driveway it gets them when they are just about to exit the frame. It misses the pull in back out. Very odd. Glitches. And require service is for the parts of the movement video that you need. It’s designed to get you to purchase the plan then you can see the full movement recording. 70 a year for only 3 cameras..it comes w 4. Or 170 a year for 5 cameras. This cheap camera system is only good if you purchase the plan. I We had better recordings with Arlo. We picked these yes for the cheap price and solar but on a sunny Texas no cloud day the solar has gone from 85-65 percent in 7 hours so there is no way it’s going to be fully charged for the night. Again it’s a waste unless you are purchasing the 170 a year plan. It’s like signing up for a service and getting the cameras free, except I’m not impressed. ... show more

It's been easy to setup and has a stable connection. I love the fact it has built in solar charging. This makes the install much easier. The all in one setup is nice! The video quality is very good. I didn't expect it to be this nice while on a Wireless network. The App is responsive and easy to use and setup. The Night vision works really well too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Wireless Security Cameras With True Set-and-Forget Convenience I’ve been using this 4-pack of Cinnado S1 3MP 2K wireless security cameras and have been very impressed with both the cameras and the app. The setup process was incredibly simple. The app walks you through everything, and within minutes I had all four cameras connected and working. One feature I really like is being able to view all of my cameras on a single screen, making it easy to keep an eye on everything at once. The built-in solar panel is one of the biggest advantages of these cameras. Since the panel is integrated into the top of each unit, there are no extra wires or separate solar panels to mount. As long as the camera receives some sunlight during the day, I’ve had no issues keeping the batteries charged through both day and night. Another feature worth mentioning is the ability to install a microSD card directly into each camera for local backup recording. I highly recommend adding one if you want additional storage and peace of mind. The package includes adjustable 4-hole mounting brackets, mounting screws, and even a mounting template, which makes installation quick and straightforward. What really stands out to me is that these cameras are truly 100% wireless. Once installed, they are essentially set-and-forget devices, which is exactly what I was looking for. One thing to consider before purchasing is the placement location. Since the solar panel is built into the top of the camera, you’ll want to make sure it isn’t blocked by an overhang, tree branches, or anything else that could limit sunlight exposure. I’ve also noticed that the software has improved significantly over the years with updates that seem to have increased stability and reliability. So far, the cameras have been trouble-free and have performed exactly as expected.
