This is my third thermostat from Cielo. The other 2 were for a portable AC and a mini split. I love the fact that you can really monitor your electricity usage. Plus now I can control my main AC from anywhere. Geo fencing feature is quite convenient. It was to replace a regular programmable Honeywell thermostat (without using the C wire as that thermostat was running on batteries). Installation was super easy and definitely for DIYers. Very easy install and set up. I like the app and multiple operating OS. I especially like the geo fencing perimeters, it ranges from close to 10 miles or more. Other thermostats that I have tried are only a few hundred feet.I also like the vacation set up also very nice programing. I am a heating & air company owner. The only use for this thermostat or any for the matter, is that it work on time. I wrote a very good review explaining the befit and several other bits of good to know info but it was kicked by Amazon. A bit to critical of their similar product, procedure and price. The original review was 5 stars as I was able to have the thermostat function as I wanted by using Alexa to set a start and stop time. No longer. Alex now gives an error message. I contacted Ceilo but instead of getting help from Ceilo I got a call center. They after about 20 min of try this try that they suggested I call Amazon customer service. I asked what planet they were on? The reason for the prior 5 star was customer service. ... show more

I now have a total of eight of these thermostats. Five of them for Mitsubishi heat pumps, mini splits, 1 for a Tosot-gree heat pump, mini split and two for conventional hot air and hot water baseboard. For the heat pump, mini splits, it was pretty much plug-and-play after following the directions. The hot air system with AC in my house would not work after following the wiring diagram. I called customer service and spoke with Jason and after a few pictures back-and-forth figured out that I did not have a C wire to my thermostat. Made one connection at the furnace and we were up and running. I find these thermostats, more user-friendly than the thermostats that we’re going to come with the Mitsubishi and tosot heat pump mini split units. The six thermostats that I have for my heat pump mini splits are 400 miles away and I have no problem controlling them with the app on my phone. ... show more
