    • Our Mini Golden Doodle Loves This Stick!
Our Mini Golden Doodle loved chewing on this stick when she was in her aggressive chewing phase of being a puppy. For a small dog, these toys are practically indestructible. I was worried she might pull a piece off or that it would get big scrapes or scratches in it, but it's survived for well over a year now and it still looks fine. You can use it outside and it'd wash off easily. It is a bit on the heavy side for a smaller dog, they have to pick it up in the middle and balance it, or drag it along -- but that also makes it fun. I've also played some light tug-of-war with it. Of course you want to be careful you aren't tugging too hard to hurt their teeth, or where this stick is going to slap back into your face or the dog's face, but it's a great toy for keeping your fingers a bit further away from your dog's mouth as you play with them and reduce the chance of getting bit while playing. One word of caution is to make sure that you put the stick away when guests are over or when not in-use. It rolls easily and it's hard, so if someone steps on it, not expecting it to be there, there's a good chance they could wipe out. Not good with older parents, grandparents, etc. Some toys just go squeak and some are outright dangerous if stepped on. The nice thing though with most of these Chuckit toys is they're a bright orange color, so they're easy to spot on most surfaces. LOVE Chuckit toys! I'm sure some of these don't stand up to big dogs that are also very aggressive chewers and like to destroy toys, but for a smaller dog -- this stick and other Chuckit toys are a great option. Our dog was destroying those fake bones quickly and causing very sharp edges or pulling small pieces off and trying to eat them. This Chuckit stick shows no signs of that. Very durable toys for a small dog & definitely something I'd recommend for a small breed during teething stage or that quickly chews up [and tries to eat] other toys. ... show more

Ok, I stumbled across this item by pure accident and was so highly impressed I bought another one the next day. My furbaby is a Mountain Cur Pitbull. He is an aggressive chewer that virtually destroys everything in sight. I have bought so many toys and all have been destroyed by my lovely boy. I recommend this item for large aggressive chewers. It is sturdy, thick enough to brace his impact, loves to play fetch with it, what can I say for the price its a HUGE WIN for me and him. You can't beat that price! Amazing deal!! ... show more

This is good enough to sport the Chuckit name. My dog likes it, but mostly for tug-of-war. She's chewed on it some, and so far it's held up, but I usually take it away before she can do too much damage. She is a very determined shredder-type chewer. It's kind of wobbly and fun. It floats. Easy to throw. Easy on the dog's teeth. It's the same sort of stuff the Chuckit balls are made of, so if your dog doesn't destroy those, this will stand up as well. ... show more

I have a dog who won't fetch a ball but will fetch a stick. I bought this because he chews through a natural stick very quickly, getting small pieces in his mouth that he might choke on. I like that this item is sturdy and the dog can't chew off pieces. The bright orange color means it is visible in the grass. The stick is durable enough that he can tug on it when we play and it doesn't seem to cause the toy any harm. My dog is 66 lb and an aggressive chewer. ... show more

    • Dog loves it, I hate the durability
This "stick" was one of my dogs favorites. I have tried this product twice hoping it would be better the second time around (and as I said, my dog LOVED it). Unfortunately, this stick was quick to be chewed through and leaving behind little blue and orange plastic pieces. I had to take it away from him because i dont want him swallowing these small pieces. My dog isn't a huge killer or anything, just an under 25 lb beagle who likes to kill all his toys, lol :P ... show more
