I bought two of these but for different ages. One for my brother and one for my sister. My sister is a heavyset kid and I was concerned this may not work out for her. She loves it! One of the best features is the steering function — instead of turning the handlebars, they lean their bodies to the side they’d like to go towards. It takes practice at first but I feel it will help them develop their core a bit. So, your concern is whether it will be a worthwhile purchase, if they’ll like it, and if it’s safe. It’s a solidly built toy which will carry a heavy load; it goes as fast as they can push it and what kid doesn’t like to go fast? Lol ... show more

cheap, there is a reason a good scooter is expensive. I had already purchased a mini micro for my daughter, very happy about that. This was my husbands choice for our son, who thought I have spent too much on the mini. Let's just say no more argument as to who is right.

My 6 year old had a razor scooter that she loved but just outgrew. She could ride it effortlessly as the front wheel turned with the handle bars. The steering on this ChromeWheels you have to lean to turn and for this to be effective you must have some decent speed. The front wheels DO NOT turn with the handlebars as with other brand scooters so turning in a tight spot is nearly impossible with this product. I only recommend this for kids that do not know how to ride a scooter because it's nearly impossible to fall off this so it is much safer for a first time rider. But a kid who wants to steer more quickly, this is not the product for them. ... show more

It has the potential to be a wonderful scooter as it is easy to put together and seems durable at first. Our son rode the scooter properly; however, the hole where the height can be adjusted gets worn out and eventually expands so that the height cannot be maintained and the scooter is useless. We thought that perhaps the first one was defective so we bought another as we did love the scooter. However, the 2nd one did the same thing within 2 months. We purchased this for our 7 year old daughter and it broke from the bottom front of the scooter she really likes it but since it is broken and it drags on the floor when she is riding it and I’m concerned the she may fall forward because of it dragging on the front so I haven’t let her use it since

Perfect scooter for my 8 yr old. My mom bought it for her 8th birthday and it is the perfect gift. We have concrete/tile floors in our home and it is connected to my Mom’s with hardwood floors. She rides it throughout both houses and out on the front patio. She rides it to get a drink, to run an errand, and just for fun. It was easy to assemble and we have had no problems with it. The wheels all light up. The brake works great. It rides smooth. I would recommend this scooter over the two wheeled ones. My Mom bought my niece a two wheeled scooter (different brand) and the handle bars fell apart. She was so disappointed! Purchased 2 of these for my kids for Christmas. I have a 6 year girl and a 3 year son. They were both super excited to get them, and I loved that there was an option to purchase the scooters for safety gear included. I was a bit nervous about the time it would take for them to get use to steering the scooters and you lean the handle bar to the side in order to turn as opposed to twisting it like a bike, but my daughter picked it up right away, and after a day or two my 3 year old son had it down as well. They didn't even realize that the wheels lit up until it got dark and that made it all the more fun, exciting, and motivating for them. I feel like the price is great for good quality scooters and would recommend them to a friend. So far we have had no issues with the scooters so they seem to be built well with adjustable height for the handle bars, which is important for different ages and growing kids. Kids love them. They seem sturdy and the lights were a big hit. Would definitely buy again. ... show more
