It looks very nice after assembly. It is styled. The leather is soft and comfortable. I don't need the recliner function but it doesn't cost you to have it. Actually it make the chair heavier and stable to sit on. I would recommend it.

    • Cheaply made chair
My husband insists we need a recliner. Most are so hideous, large and bulky, so I started the hunt for something that was aesthetically pleasing and had the reclining feature. This chair has the traditional, tufted leather wingback look that I wanted so I thought it was the best of both worlds. I was able to assemble it myself, and once together it certainly looked nice. I threw the box away, happy with my purchase. But upon sitting in it, I could tell it wasn’t going to work. It’s firm and springing. It squeaks when reclined. The faux leather is smooth and plastic feeling. And it was too small for my 6ft husband to rest his head on. We never really sat in it, but somehow after a month, it had a tear in it. Amazon is great and would have let me return it for a small $11 return shipping fee within the first month, but it had to be dismantled and boxed up. If you purchase this chair, keep the box for your trial period. I sold this chair on marketplace and lost quite a bit of money on it with the newly acquired scratch. ... show more

Needed chair to fit a certain place so it had to be no more than 30 inches wide at the widest point. Just right and comfortable. Easy to assemble, all hardware and little tools came with it...read dirctions. Nice chair for a third of what stores charge!

This recliner chair was packed very well in the box and arrived without any harm. The instructions were very clear. The parts and tools were all there and a few extra parts were sent as well, just in case. I have one little hint that I thought was good to pass on. The flap on the back got in the way when I was trying to put the back rest into place. I rolled the flap into a tight roll and placed a small bag clip in each end to hold it secure and out of the way while I positioned the chair back into the seat fittings. See photo. The chair is not all cushy like my larger overstuffed recliners are, but I am very satisfied with this mid-size reclining chair. ... show more
