I absolutely love the feel of regular height Adirondack chairs and I enjoy barstool height chairs a lot as well. Marrying these two together I thought would be great, but instead has been a bit of a letdown. The chairs are not overly comfortable. They look great, but just do not feel great sitting in. Just under a year after buying I had a slat crack on one of the chairs. It hasn't broken through at this point, but that's very worrying that is happening, especially since these chairs aren't being used regularly. I'd think these chairs wouldn't crack so soon.

This is seriously the best set of chairs I’ve ever gotten. They are super cute. Great color that has been painted thoroughly (so it doesn’t look like there are spots missing in the cracks of the chair or anything) and veeerrry comfy for a hard chair. Just follow the instructions word for word and take your time, and if you so you’ll find that the chair does NOT wobble and is super sturdy. Also... it ended up being perfect height for my balcony and table . . . . .It is now 2023 and these chairs have lasted me since 2020. They have been outside all this time and yea the weather has gotten to them but honestly if you keep up cleaning them and taking care of them, not dragging the legs, keeping them out of sunlight when not using, etc... then these will last you just like mine. oh and they're still sturdy. when they get a little wobbly from using them I just unscrew some, adjust, then screw them back in tight. and then they're good to go! people who say this chair gets wobbly don't follow directions that it gives to make them NOT wobbly lol.

I have reached the “acceptance” stage and now appreciate that Christopher Knight designed these chairs. At first, that was what I hated about them (anger). How could such cool chairs be made by the guy from the Brady Bunch (Denial) ? Maybe there’s another Christopher Knight, just like there’s two famous guys named Mark Wahlberg (although the antiques roadshow one is actually Mark L. Walberg and he probably runs in very different circles than the Marky Mark Wahlberg). If I just look hard enough, surely there’s other affordable Adirondack style bar stools out there (bargaining). Are we really gonna spend that much money on furniture by Christopher Knight (depression)? But finally, I embraced the situation and placed the order. These chairs are comfortable. They were easy to build. And if you place a board across the arms while you’re sitting in them, it looks like a high chair for adults. I sure hope we all survive the pandemic so I have a chance to invite my friends over for a bbq and casually mention that our chairs were designed by Christopher Knight.

These stools have a nice look and are all wood, though they may not appear that way in the pictures at Amazon. The wood is a smooth-finished Acacia, stained with a grey translucent finish. Anyone familiar with a piece or two of IKEA furniture will be able to figure these out and assembly will go smoothly after the first one. Just make sure to read all the instructions first, then review at each step. It is easy to put a leg unit on backward, so pay attention. The comfort of these stools is surprising, but that would be because of the Adirondack design and the curvature of the seat. They don’t seem particularly heavy duty and are pretty light in weight, but so far so good. One star off because one of the leg units arrived broken. I have glued it and am keeping my fingers crossed.

The media could not be loaded. Beautiful and easy to assemble… however.. they started wobbling right away. The color stripped from them within a month (in the shade) just from sitting on them. The foot rest broke off within 3 months. Now they are just used for the kids. They wobble too much under an adults weight. It’s really a shame because they are exactly what we needed but I’m going to be replacing with something more sturdy. (Note, the wobble is not from defective assembly, I build everything I order and it holds up fine)

Out of 3, one was so warped the holes did not line up we followed the instructions and didn’t tighten all screws until we were finished. We’re going to drill our own hole because the 30 day return window closed, but it has a 2 inch wobble. Buy your chairs elsewhere.
