I decided on the bundle because I thought the cover, the warranty, the outlet charging plug etc were all valuable additions. The 8G holds hundreds of books so that seemed to be sufficient memory. He loves the kindle and is spending a lot more time reading than before with the print books. That's a win all the way around as far as I am concerned. I like the fact that his access to books is limited to the pre-selected library. The only drawback is that he is about to age out of the accessible books. I wish the library was broken out into two age groups and went past 12.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I wasn't sure how she would handle reading on a tablet as she loves books! However, her books are overrunning our home and I felt this would help reduce the accumulation. She LOVES it. It goes everywhere with her. Anytime she is bored she says "oh yeah, I have a Kindle". We downloaded the library app (to my phone) and can check out books to her Kindle. I even bought myself a second one because I liked her's so much. I was previously using a kindle fire but it was heavier and the screen harsher on my eyes. I like thar you can link a family library and share books across devices.

I have had a great time using this kindle paper white. While it is advertised for kids, it is a great deal for adults. The battery absolutely lives up to the two week estimate. There is no advertising up on opening, it is waterproof. Shutting off the child function is not at all a problem and thereafter it functions just like a regular paper white. Print is clear and wasy to adjust and comes with a "warmth" adjustment if you don't like the tint of the screen. Absolutely worth the price.

This tablet is perfect for kids. They can still get distracted in the store downloading books but otherwise it's a good tablet. One downside is that if the screen in lit above paper white the battery tends to drain within a few hours.

I ordered the bundle that included robot dreams cover. I was so excited that the one with robot dreams cover was in stock since this is a gift for my niece. However, I received the one with black cover 😞
