I got this set about two months ago, and it's working great so far. The design is well-done - the shape, the colour, and overall it just looks good. I think it's a good value for money, I don't think we could have found another midcentury-styled alternative for such a price. The chairs are sturdy enough for us, as I've seen people commenting on that. I sit on these chairs whichever way I want and it's fine. The surface is indeed delicate and it's easy to scratch, I made a couple of scratches already, but it's not a big issue to me and doesn't look apparent. I wash it with soap and a soft sponge, works well. As for assembly, the first chair took me about an hour to fix, but then it went easier. ... show more

    • Easy to assemble but not happy the legs of two chairs are uneven.

I love this little dining set. It was fairly simple to put together. The reason i do not give it 5 stars is because two of the chairs have an uneven leg causing them to wobble. Product arrived damaged. This is the bottom of the table and as soon as I opened it, I see this giant crack from one of the holes. The box didnt seem damaged so this probably happened in manufacturing. The only option I had was to return but how am I supposed to drop off a giant table without a box?? ... show more

I love the look/ feel of the table. So far, hot dishes nor water has discolored or spotted the table. Table is big enough to fit 6. Chairs can be tricky to assemble, instructions were important. Had this delivered - boxes clearly show on the stickers that there are 3 boxes in the set, but only the chairs got delivered. No biggie, called Amazon and they said to keep the chairs and they will send a new set out. The replacement got delivered today, and it was only the chairs again. Now I have 8 chairs to a table I dont have. Instead of amassing a chair horde, I will be returning it and looking elsewhere. To note - I attempted to build one of the chairs and the build quality is very questionable. Some of the screw holes are shallow and I had a few screws blowout and the assembled chairs are very wobbly. ... show more
