I read a lot of reviews before buying this chair, some thought it too hard but for me it's pretty perfect. I don't like a 'sink into it' feeling for furniture but I do want cushioning and this chair has that. It's SO pretty too! I haven't seen furniture with arms like these before and they really hooked me. The dogs in the pictures are to help with scale, the black one is about 18lbs, the blond one is about 12 lbs. I had some worry about the buttons as reviews mentioned they pop off easily but so far, even with occasional scratching from the pups everything is firm. (I do try to keep a throw on the furniture to mitigate any button removal by the doggos.) For background: I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so sometimes putting things together can be difficult or time-consuming but this chair was an actual breeze. I think it took 30 minutes tops to assemble by myself. One of the pillows is packed away (check inside the zippered underside of the chair) and that one was a bit scrunched at first, but after a few days it regained it's normal shape. I'm really delighted with this chair. (Disclosure: I did get it on sale so that makes me love it even more but I am debating getting a second one at full price - if my floor plan allows for it) ... show more

The chair back is very firm which I’m not sure if I like personally but this is a good looking chair. Easy to assemble even with one person. The hardest part of assembly was getting the back of the chair to align with the channels they were supposed to slide into. I believe the channel on one side isn’t sitting out far enough to catch on the chair back. Overall, this is a pretty nice chair. I just wish the chair back was fully inline. ... show more

I had this chair on my wishlist for a couple of months and finally bought it. It's as beautiful in person as it looks in the pictures. Items typically complement or enhance a space and this is definitely an enhancer. Setup: It was easy to set up although I did have trouble sliding the back support piece because it kept popping out of the tracks. What I did was flip the chair upside down & loosened up the side woodpanel screws, flip it back up and finally I was able to slide it in place. After that everything was smooth sailing. Comfort: In regards to comfort its a little stiff but overall is decent and does the job. Quality: The quality is great. It looks like a high-end chair. Other: -The chair is pretty wide so you can probably seat 2 people on it without the side pillows. -For short people if you sit all the way to the back rest, your feet will dangle. I wanted a wide chair so my dog can cuddle next to me. The chair is nice and wide. It was pretty easy to assemble but I needed a second person due to its size. You the material seems okay but time will tell. The arm cushions are firm but lightweight and fall of the chair easy when you mpve. The seat and back are not cushioned very well for regular use. Overall, I think this is a nice liking style for a chair and that is what caught my attention. However, it's pretty basic materials and lack of comfort has me feeling the cost was not justified. ... show more

It deserves 5 stars based on what you get for the price. It’s very comfortable. My husband and I can sit together on one of them if we remove the two pillows. It’s already getting some wrinkles in the seat so I don’t expect it to last forever. And it’s definitely more of a grayish-beige color which is what I wanted anyway. ... show more

I knew going in this chair was 'low-profile' and not large. It definitely is wide, basically a 'chair-and-a-half', but low to the ground and not oversized. It is a great looking accent chair. While not something I would sit in for hours on end, it is not uncomfortable. The seat is plush enough, but the back is very firm and placing your arms is a conscious decision... on the low narrow wood or on the very low tube cushions. The grey is a little on the warm side but only slightly. I have a grey couch and silver-grey rug and the chair is warmer in color if you are paying attention. Also, the stitching is not as 'deep' as the images show; not a big deal but not as elegant as the photos. The wood definitely is NOT 'dark walnut'. The color/brightness is medium as 5 of the 6 of the photos show. More of a golden color similar to Minwax 'Gunstock', 'English Chestnut', or 'Early American'... nowhere near 'Dark Walnut'. Again, most of the images are correct, just not the description/name. It went together very well. The bolts lined up and it took me about 30 minutes from opening the box to placing the chair. It seems solid and weighs about 60lbs. 4/5 stars... I would recommend with a few small caveats. ... show more

I found this chair very easy to put together. I did it by myself. I will admit, I am no novice to doing it though. The chair is absolutely gorgeous. I have it as an accent chair in the rare event guests come over. So I won't be sitting in it often. The seat is nice and plush, but the back cushion is like cement. Probably needs to be worn in a bit. Very spacious, I can sit with my legs folded on it with plenty of space. Perfect mid-century modern vibe to it. It seems very sturdy too! My main complaint is that it arrived with a small ding in on the arm. It's the corner that faces the wall, so I didn't send it back or anything. Overall I am satisfied with this chair. ... show more
