These lights were very easy to set up (even though there were no instructions in the box). We ended up folding back the light strings because we could not hang the star very high in the tree, and it worked very well. The included stakes are fairly small but they work to keep the stings in place. Once of the stakes bent when it hit a tree root, but it is still doing the job. We tested the memory function and that worked as well. The power was out for a few hours after hanging it and the lights were on the same function we had left it on when the power was restored. The power cable is also very long as well, which we liked a lot. Overall, we really liked this light set! ... show more

I set this up as a Christmas tree in my lawn. I used a 10 foot conduit pipe and sunk it 1.5 feet into the ground. I bent a piece of heavy wire (repurposed from a yard sign) to hook the star up in the air and used the stakes provided to spread the 9 lines of lights out in an arc. The result is very pretty. I am not sure why I was asked to rank the remote as there is not one with this unit. ... show more

I just hung these lights up yesterday and they are very pretty and were easy to put up! I didn't end up using the things you use to hang it up and keep the strands in place, so we'll see how they hold up when it gets cold and snowy. But so fat, they are great!

The star itself is a very nice solid plastic frame with lights set behind it The smaller lights stream down individual wires beneath the star. The whole thing is really bright and lovely! There is a button on the wall plug that allows you to scroll through the flashing sequences. If you unplug it and then plug it back it, at least for a few minutes, it remembers your settings. Compactly packaged, which I like a lot for reasons of future storage. No instructions in the box, but pretty straightforward use. There's an extra part in the box (the black triangle) that fits over the points of the star but no holes in it, and I'm not sure what it's for. Really nice item, recommended! ... show more

I was a little skeptical of the product given its simple packaging. However once you plug it in, it is awesome. It is super easy to hang in the yard and the provided stakes allow you to place the strings of lights wherever you want. The lights are led so they do not use a lot of power. I really am excited about this decoration! I officially put it up since itโ€™s just barely November, but I did find the perfect spot and made sure it fit worked. I really like the variation for the white lights and that I can also do multicolor. Everything was packaged really well and it was easy to take out of the box and put up. It was also really easy to take down again. The lights are nice and bright and look like theyโ€™ll hold up perfectly in the weather. Definitely a good quality decoration. ... show more

Upon arrival I tried out the 8 modes and remote control functions and am excited to add this to our yard when we decorate for Christmas this year. The star, and lights seem very durable and can be hung practically anywhere. I will add pics once it is up, if possible, so feel free to check back.
