This is a nice set of wrapping twines, you get a natural jute, cotton white and cotton black. They appear to be decent quality. Great for rustic chic wrapping.

This twine is great for crafts and gift wrapping. It's the perfect size, roughly 1.5 mm or 1/16 inch in diameter. A visible texture lends that rustic quality you want. The natural white is just warm enough to not look bleached but doesn't lean into yellow hues or feel artificially ivory colored. The black is dark and on target, no lean toward blue or green or brown. The jute is a nice natural light brown. I wouldn't use it in the kitchen. Each twine roll arrived wrapped in cellophane, which did the job of keeping it clean and contained. But the plastic also kept in the humidity of an overseas voyage and whatever solvent was used in its manufacture. The spools arrived smelling damp - not actually wet or moldy, but with that musty smell - and fumey with some sort of solvent. Perhaps the solvent is what keeps if from turning moldy. I immediately removed the plastic and left the spools in a spot with good air circulation. It's been two and a half weeks now, and the black twine passes the sniff test. The white still has a lingering mustiness. And the jute is still hanging onto a bit of solvent smell. ... show more
