    • Very handy, durable, versatile
I often use a 6x8 tarp like a sled, to carry my mail and packages over snow and ice (or mud, for that matter) instead of wrestling things in my arms over multiple trips. Had over 4 feet of snow in my driveway, and it was so much easier just putting all the boxes in the center of the tarp, and dragging by one or two corners. I also find it easier to put several armfuls of hay into the tarp, grab two or three corners, and drag hay short distances to animals. Especially handy during Polar Vortex weather with heavy snowfall. Also handy in summer to move garden supplies around if I don’t feel like getting out the wheelbarrow or cart. Yes, they eventually wear out, but I get a lot of use from these tarps before they do (a wheel barrow may be more environmentally sound in summer, but I would still need a sled or tarp for these unexpected winter storms). Also good as a windbreak when stretched between posts or tied to a fence, shelter from rain or snow if pitched at an angle like a tent, or stretched over a hoop structure or fencing/livestock panel set in an upside-down “U” shape with stakes or posts to stabilize it and the tarp tied down over the frame. ... show more

I have given this tarp the test of time. I purchased it quite a while ago to protect my small sailboat. It has endured sunlight, high bungee tensions and strong winds. After all of this time, it is still able to fend off water, it has not ripped at the grommets, it is very much like the day I bought it. Previously, all my tarps came from Home Depot and from Harbor Freight, they all deteriorated rapidly. This one will be purchased again. ... show more

Waterproof is questionable. I had it over my regular pop-up tent canopy in the pouring rain for about 6 hours straight. Around hour 4 it started to drip in my tent. I think had it not been raining so hard for so long it would’ve been fine. It was raining while I was setting it up as well so could’ve been that water had sat on my regular canopy before I got this tarp on which made it leak. Who knows!
