The media could not be loaded. I got one just to test it out and see if I liked it. They are definitely nice quality. Easy to roll up and down. The width is perfect. I will be buying more for each rooms window from them. I love how the black out is great especially with summer coming around the corner. I think these are some of the most affordable option for blinds out there. The window shows is an even 46x46; with the 46x72 you can't even tell there's more blind in the roll. Love it.

The only annoying part of the install, the screws. Reason 1 star less. The screws kept jamming up and stripped. Nephew used better screws and both shades up in 10 minutes. Some light comes from top and sides with it on the molding. If you want it flush, place it above the molding.

Although the instructions for installation could be better, once we figured it out it was pretty slick! We did an exterior mount — above and an about 4 inches wider than the window molding, as suggested. The blind functions smoothly, looks nice and feels like good quality. If you are in doubt, and really want the light-blocking effect, I’d say go with an exterior mount. It’s also easier! This does an awesome job of sealing out the light.

This is a nice blackout shade, but there are some things you'll want to consider before selecting this one. Hopefully, this can help you make a more informed decision. First, the blackout material on this shade is great - 100% blackout as advertised. It's not going to insulate like a honeycomb shade, so if that's what you want, that's what you should order - this isn't that. Second, ANY shade, regardless of type, isn't going to provide blackout at the sides without a light blocker. That should be common sense, but I think some people order window coverings and expect a miracle when they're not even customized for your window (rolls eyes). The shade's size is based on the length of the shade's housing (the part that snaps into the bracket). The shade material is always going to be a bit less than this, so it will never get 100% coverage. If you need that, it's easily done by putting up light blockers at the sides. Once installed, you'll forget they're even there, and they will make a huge difference. I've included a photo of the difference it will make since I had a leftover piece of light blocker from doing a different window. The one thing that this particular shade is lacking is a valance and that's my one complaint. The problem with no valance is that light comes through the top of the shade and that can be more of a pain to resolve. For the price, I'd expect this shade to have that, since some less expensive shades I've purchased have had a valance. These are easy to install as an inside mount if you have enough depth (at least 2") and from there, it's just a matter of measuring and putting up two brackets. If you can hang a picture on the wall, you can probably hang up this shade. Obviously, this is made easier if you have power tools and can drill a pilot hole. In any case, it's not rocket science. The shade moves up and down smoothly and comes with a pull that you have to slide onto the shade after installation. There are no cords, so if you have kids or pets that's a great safety feature. The style of the bracket means the shades can be easily removed should you need to do so. If you're looking for a basic blackout shade, this is a good one. It's easy to install and moves up and down with ease. If you're bothered about the amount of light that still comes through, I'd recommend using light blockers at the sides. If the light through the top is a problem either hang a valance of your own, blackout material, of course, or select a blackout shade that already has an integrated valance.
