For years I've been looking at getting expensive wooden shutters to replace equally expensive bedroom drapes. I have neighbors whom I love so much that I've never told them how disruptive their motion detector spotlights are in the backyard at night. I discovered these blinds in the hotel we stayed at in Montreal last year. Went home and looked for them on line. So so very happy to have found these. My only concern was that all photos show the pull chain on the right side of the blind, and I desired it to be on the left. I was so pleased to find out you can put it on either side. I have to admit that this was the easiest install I have ever encountered with blind installation. The product is made out of extremely great quality material and does a great job in blocking 100% of sunlight. No light bleeding and fits perfect on any standard size window. My only complain is that the chain connected to the blind is not adjustable and wish there was a way to adjust the length. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. ... show more

Neat, clean appearance and a total blackout blind.. I'm using these with my semi finished basements "post box" style windows. I selected these instead of the "spring loaded" blinds I've used for an inexpensive room darkening solution and prefer the corded up and down function.

Simple roller shade that works. I screwed mine to my two doors that have a central glass panel. I had some minor issues putting them in but now they work fine. Easy enough to do install by myself. I broke the heads off several of the screws using my impact driver, after predrilling holes in my wood door. I used some spare harbor freight screws and two of them broke too so maybe it’s my door material or my predrilling. The screws become hidden by the shade so it doesn’t matter much. Product packing was slightly crushed on one end even though cardboard box was undamaged. This led to the smallest of scratches on the shade and a minuscule fraying on the edge. The installation was straight forward. Marking the holes is of course the part you must take your time with. Make sure you space out the holders enough to let you remove the blind. If you don't leave enough space, it will be hard to remove the blind. Make sure you drill pilot holes if you're securing the brackets to wood. Otherwise driving in the screws will be very difficult. The blind was a perfect fit in width and height. It completely covers the window. The only down side is that I received a used blind. One of the brackets had pretty bad scratches. The blind had a small nip on one of its sides, and a pinhole (noticed only after I installed the blind). After checking that it worked correctly, I decided to keep it. After installing it on a hot day, I was too lazy to remove everything and send it back. It works good. It helps keep my bedroom a bit cooler by blocking the sun. ... show more

Wow I cannot believe I have been dealing with the light coming through my thin curtains for 1.5 years. These shades completely block out the light and it was great quality. If the instructions aren’t that clear, just do it your way. It’s dummy-proof.
