This chair was bought to fill a need for my wife, who at age 80, has mobility and strength issues. She was unable to use the manual footrest action in old recliner because of a serious shoulder problem and recent knee replacement has made getting from sitting to standing difficult. The powered footrest and seat boost are everything she needed and the massage and heat functions have been and very nice addition. I bought this chair for my mom who is smaller and doesn’t like the big “puffy” recliners. This chair is classy looking and doesn’t take up half of a room. It reclines flat which was a big plus and has heat throughout the whole chair…even the legs…who wouldn’t like a full body heating pad at your disposal! The massage isn’t really a massage…just vibrating spots throughout the chair if that is something you like. My dad is in memory care so maintenance guy had to put the chair together. He said it had no nuts, bolts or screws & no directions. He said the back is very unloose without screws & dangerous for a 88 year old man. Now it’s going to be a pain to get the parts & my dad needs this chair NOW. Not happy

    • After a few weeks of use, I have to say this chair is amazing.

This chair is very nicely made, from the way it looks to it’s powerful electrical innards. I will begin with my only negative experience with this chair, which in hindsight is definitely influenced by the fact that I tried to put it together after a bad night’s rest. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to find the instruction manual. If you also can’t find it, if I remember correctly it is attached to another side of cardboard inside of the box. Once I had the manual my only issue was trying to zip the top and bottom part together alone, I think putting together this chair would be a much easier experience with two people. Here’s a tip, when putting on those feet on the back, put the bolts through first, then the foot part, and then the wing nuts to tighten it. I’m not well-versed in these sort of things so I hope that may have helped someone. Really, this is just me trying to find something to nitpick about this chair. The few minuscule issues I had with putting it together is not very important. My experience with the chair itself is great. It’s very comfortable! Since you can lay all the way back or anywhere in between, your comfort level is literally in your hands. Those who have issues getting up will appreciate that it can put you up basically all the way on your feet. Seriously, it goes up so far I was really surprised to see it. The remote is very responsive. Sometimes you press a button and can’t even tell you’re moving until a few seconds because it moves so slowly. That’s actually good because it means the powerful motor will not be wearing out anytime soon. Admittedly, I was suspicious of the electronic reclining at first. I have always used manual recliners. However, this takes any human error out of the equation. Since no person can jump in the chair and slam it back as quickly as possible, ruining the springs and reclining mechanisms, the lifetime of this chair will be much longer. I haven’t messed with the massage functions much, it’s pretty much just vibration. The heating function is very warm, especially as it gets cooler it’s very nice to have. It’s spill-proof due to its faux leather. If you have sat on a real leather recliner before you know it can get kind of sweaty and the leather wears after a while, but that won’t happen with this. Just because this chair is marketed towards the elderly, it is good for any age group. I would consider this chair to be medium sized. Most people would be able to fit this chair. The weight limit is 350 lbs. The recliner part is more than long enough for someone who is 5’10”. That should accommodate quite a lot of people. Overall, this is a great chair for the price and I cannot wait to get years of enjoyment out of it. ... show more

As someone who suffers from many disabilities, and has endured more than 70 operations on my kidneys alone, I was so excited to find this chair in the Vine items. It truly was a blessing. The chair arrived in excellent time, and was extremely well packaged. The box is large, and quite heavy, though now nearly what I expected it to be. It only required a short time to set up for assembly, as everything was perfectly done for you. The cords/plugs for the remotes and assembling the back peices, was basically all that needed to be done to set up. It was assembled and ready to use in less than 20 minutes. This chair is extremely comfortable! The material feels great, and is padded well all over. The size is perfect for me, and atleast one grandbaby, which is always a bonus. I’ve even slept in it a few times, and honestly, it’s amazingly comfortable, even for that. There are two pockets, one on each side. One pocket holds the remotes, while the other can hold books, magazines, or a journal, as this is where I keep mine, so it’s always within reach. Being only five foot tall, one would assume that I would struggle to reach the pockets in such a large chair, but I was impressed to find no issues in doing so. The remotes are a bit different to work than I’m used to, but then, I’ve never owned a lift chair. Though they are easy to learn. One remote controls the movements of the chair. Large “up” and “down” arrows, control the footrest, and lifting. The top buttons, showing images of a person sitting, with arrows pointing the direction you want to raise your head. It’s pretty easy to learn, and I appreciate the large buttons, as well as the images to help in doing so. The second remote adds the ability for massage, which is amazing! Again, the images are there to assist in finding the areas you wish to have massaged, and at what speeds. There are 8 different options, I believe. There’s also a + and - button for intensity, as well as a heat option. I would expect to oay so much more for this chair. It’s excellent quality, and truly extremely helpful to someone in my situation. I can’t recommend this chair enough. ... show more
