I chose this product based on all the positive reviews. So far - after 4 days of using the wipes- I have not noticed a change. My dog’s white fur is still stained. I am hoping something will change and if so I will update my review to reflect it. But for right now I am disappointed in my purchase as the wipes have had zero affect in the tear stains. I have a maltipoo whose eyes are constantly runny and always has tear stains as a result. I try to wash her face not only to keep tear stains down but for her comfort—the crusties build up around her eye area and sometimes mat the hair or keep her eye from opening all the way. Plus, the crusties stink. So we do a lot of face washing around here. These are a good travel item, but they’re a little thin and I had to use several wipes to really get the crusties off her face when I tried them. So it’s not a great value for everyday use. Also, though I was not expecting it to, this did nothing for the tear staining. I haven’t found any products at all except an expensive and time consuming line of products that requires three steps to clean twice a day every day, which isn’t realistic for us so I’ve stopped worrying about the brownish stains. The most helpful action I’ve found is just washing her face with warm water and a washcloth each morning. As I said, I’ll keep using these when we travel but for daily use it would be too pricey IMHO. ... show more

I recently adopted a deer nosed chihuahua and as absolutely cute as can be, she gets dark tear marks fairly regularly. Paper towels or a soft cloth is still abrasive enough not to be pleasant for her. I've never heard, or seen, a product specifically for this and was delighted to find it. Right out of the box I put them to work and cleaned up her under eye fur. She didn't mind the treatment or shy away from it. Actually I think it felt pleasant. Just from removing it the fur was instantly shades lighter. As for long term removal of the dark areas, I won't know for awhile but just at this stage it's a massive improvement and now part of her grooming routines. It can't hurt, literally. ... show more

I wanted to give these a try on my teary-eyed poodle. They have a lot of moisture, but I found it challenging to separate them since they are pretty thin. I ended up using two pads per eye, doubled up. I was using baby wipes, so I'm accustomed to a much more extensive and thicker wipe. I will use these up - the expiration date is generous - but I will return to baby wipes. These did have a light medicinal fragrance, which smelled clean, not medicine-like. When I say medicinal, I mean they don't smell like perfume. All in all, this is a good product, just not my cup of tea. ... show more
