Update: Chins sent an upgraded charger and it works great again! Update: 1 day before it hit a year of purchasing the battery is not charging. The charger clicks on (10amp) and then cuts off. Will not charge and smells like an electrical issue. Using a 12 GA extension cord that’s essentially brand new and has been used with no issues. I reached out to customer care and hoping for the best. I really wished I waited a month when they released the heavy duty charger but I had no idea that was available. Will update if it get resolved. 102 charge cycles (none ever under 40%). Update: still running strong after 50 charge cycles so far!! Came packaged very nicely. Charger is in individual box inside the whole box. Came a little banged up but I imagine it’s from shipping. Connecting this (see picture for test run) was insanely easy. Be sure to use a Reducer for all the lights etc. doesn’t come with one (you can find them pretty cheap on here). I saved just over 300 pounds swapping from Interstate Lead Acids. Charging seems decent. It’s 10amps. It takes about 1 hour for roughly 10%. I am running 18” wheels, 4 gauge wiring, and a Navitas 440. Stock I was lucky to hit 12 mph, after the controller I could hit 20 mph. After the battery upgrade I’m hitting 24/25 consistently and I imagine it’ll bump up a few after the battery “learns” my driving habits. The distance compared to the lead acids is insane. I would be lucky to hit 10 miles before the draw was too much for the batteries. I’ve ridden every night (have had 5 days) over 25 miles and still haven’t really pushed it. The lowest I have gotten is 43%. The battery arrived as well with over 50% charge. You can name it through the app. Super easy to connect and monitor and even has a “battery balancer” mode and you can see in real time the temp of the battery and the BMS. I’ve had no issues with either. Super happy with this product and will be updating in time (1 month, 6 month etc).

We had one battery starting to go out on our golf cart and another one with a broken post so we just decided to fully change out the lead acid batteries for lithium. The install was very easy. 6 8volt batteries out 1 48 volt battery in. Literally just hooked up the starting positive and ending negative to the battery pack and everything worked right away. Before our golf cart went about 22-23mph on a flat surface and now we can sustain 25 mph easily and have hit 27.5 mph. Most of the improvement though has been in the responsiveness and initial start. This battery lets us get to 20mph way faster than the lead acid batteries a could. Not to mention the fact that this battery weighs so much less. So far it seems like we can get about 30 miles of range from a full change. The batteries charge very quickly and I appreciate that all it needs is 10 amps over 15 like our old charger. The app is very basic but very functional. Reviews on the App Store are low but I have no idea why. It always connects right away. I was honestly blown away how fast everything connected in the app. Easy to pull up and check the batteries after getting back from riding around. All in all this is a must do easy DIY upgrade if you’re a golf cart owner. Great value for what you get, and great power output. Honestly blown away.

10 week update - this battery has been great and zero issues with it. It’s been strong hills and am seeing 25 mph on level ground with the speed magnet. My brother in law has 4 year old lead batteries and has been keeping his cart plugged in all the time and I’ve been comfortable letting my cart sit when not using it. I don’t understand why anyone would still be buying flooded batteries but they are. It’s been a month and I’m super happy with this 48v battery and 10ah charger. I get about 1 mile per 2-2.5 percent of battery. Charges at a solid 10 amps per hour as expected. I ended up putting a speed magnet on my motor sensor and my speed went from 18 mph on 27’s to a solid 24 (up to 28) - this tricks the battery to think your going slower but anyway, the reason why i say this is because the battery delivers more power than flooded will. I also used to have to get a running start to load my cart on my truck and now I can almost crawl up if I want to (I haven’t tested this totally but I loaded my cart last week from a dead stop on the ramps and it moved right up them). So almost twice the range, no maintenance, ease of charge, about 270 lbs lighter, and longer life. I did some trimming in my compartment to center the battery in my precedent. I also installed buses for the power so everything isn’t wired on the battery and installed a ac power port for charging. There is only one negative and that is you can’t mount 2 in your cart. Don’t even think you can. This takes up more than half of the width of the battery compartment. But you still getting upto 40 miles on a charge. One more thing. The bus application works well. You can see all the internal cells, check temperature, charge, load, etc. you can also turn off discharge (I’m doing this now because I’m leaving my cart for 2 weeks and figure it’s safer that way. All you have to do to run the app is download it and open it up near your battery and it will connect via Bluetooth automatically. No need to pair or connect via the Bluetooth settings. It’s probably best to reopen the app when you want to connect to it. Sometimes it’s tricky to connect if you walk away out of range and come back in range.

This 48v/52v 100 Ah lithium battery was a great retrofit/swap for the four now-depleted AGM batteries that came with my Ryobi RM480e riding mower. The original batteries were four 12V 75Ah AGM lead-acids, so this battery represents an upgrade in both total capacity and useable capacity. It was a relatively simple matter of removing some body panels, unbolting the tray, disconnecting a few wires, and carefully sliding the tray out onto some concrete blocks and 2X4 boards to support it. After that I disconnected the batteries and removed them, pried out the metal center dividers in the tray (which were just held in with double-sided tape), and installed the CHINS battery with some 2X4 pieces for bracing. I then attached the mower's power cable, the charge port pigtail, and the charger leads, and duct-taped it to the tray (though may people use small ratchet straps). The middle photo depicts the mower's power connector hooked to the battery. I neglected to take a pic after I also attached the leads from the charger that comes with the battery, but that was just another positive and negative connection to the battery terminals. The small pigtail is actually the connector to the onboard charge port and was not reattached during the install because I'm currently using the charger that came with the CHINS battery. This particular battery version has a Bluetooth-capable BMS. You can download an ap from the AP store, and if you're within a short range of the mower it will give you the battery stats including the battery charge level, so there's not really any pressing need for also retrofitting a lithium battery gauge to the mower. After installing the battery I did a test mow and it only used about 8% of the battery capacity for a 40 minute mow. The original batteries weighed 256 lbs and this weighs only about 85 lbs, so it also has less weight to cart around. There is an active Facebook group that has info about different ways to retrofit these mowers, and this is one of the recommended batteries.

I replaced eight batteries with this Lithium battery. I had a couple questions that the supplier answered in less than 24 hours. The only effort required was to reconfigure the mounting platform to hold this one battery versus eight lead cell batteries. I used ratchet straps to hold things in place. Connections were pretty simple. A couple YouTube videos helped to make sure the connections were correct. This battery actually has "Bluetooth" capability and includes an "App" for your cell phone. One of the things that the app shows is the "percentage" charge. Cost was about the same as eight lead cell batteries.
