These shades were not hard to put up at all, which is a big plus, and they are even easier to use. Just pull them down to wear you want them and then when you want to roll them back up you pull the shade lightly down a bit more and let go. They return to the top with a nice even and slow rate. Block the sun beautifully when needed but still could see if something is going on outside. Would buy them for all our windows if we could afford it, we have at least 18 windows. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this blind. It’s perfect for my purposes. I needed an unobtrusive blind for the door leading out to our hot tub to give bathers privacy. Perfect size and color for the room. Took me about 2 minutes to install. Love it.

I'm really happy with these shades. I ordered 4 of the Felton White shades for my living room. Love the clean, simple look of these. The white is nice and bright and lets in a lot of light. They also provide privacy. I checked them at night with lights on inside and you cannot see through them, maybe a bit of faint shadowing but they are very opaque. The mechanism to raise and lower them is smooth and easy. A quick snap and they glide up on their own. And it's not a fast, crazy whip up to the top. They go up nice and easy! Lowering is the same, just pull it a bit and lower. Clicks right into place and seems to line up perfectly with my window sill each time. Installation was super easy. There are two metal brackets with two screws each. There are two holes for the screws on the farther ends and a wider open slot between the holes which allows you to adjust where you put the screws a bit. Glad it was like that because I needed the screws closer together to fit my more narrow window sill. Then the shade snaps right in and feels very secure once in place. We raise and lower our shades twice daily and so far they feel durable. Will see how that holds up after a few years! Also, the plastic handle and wooden toggle are removable options. I took mine off and like it better. It's a more modern look. Overall, these are good shades for the price and I recommend them! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The price the okay. It was very easy to install and we have had this for months now and still hanging and working well. I wondered if I should get an automatic one but o thought for the price if it gets broken then it would be such shame. Sooo I preferred to get a manual one and it worked well for us.     • Sizing description issue. But very nice shades!
Size: 40"W X 72"H Color: Byssus White (Blackout)
I found the sizing description very confusing. I decided to order the 40" size. Here's what I got.... The outer most measurement of the brackets is 39.5" wide. Meaning if you have a 40" niche that the shade has to fit in, there would be .25" left to space on each side of the brackets. The shade fabric itself turned out to be 38.5" wide. I intend to install this shade above my window frame. I was wanting the shade fabric itself to be wider. I will have to see if this is going to work or not. Might have to return. I'm trying to block out the light. I will have curtains too, so it might work. I just wanted to warn people what they will get so that they will order what they actually need, Update.... I decided to keep the size I ordered. The shade is very nice quality. Fabric on both sides. They are not like the old style of roller shades where you give them a tug and they violently spring upwards. They raise in a slow steady pace all the way to the top. If you want the shade to cover the upper half part of the window then you need to wait for the shade to go all the way to the top and then bring it back down to where you want it. They do block the light but it does peek out on the sides. But I have curtains for this problem. Also I had a little bit of an issue with installing. I found them to be hard to snap into the wall brackets. I found that you have to squeeze the part that snaps into the bracket and push pretty hard. If I had had a taller ladder I would have had more leverage to do so, but I don't have a lot of upper body strength and working above my head was challenging. I was able to do it though. I installed two shades and I suppose there was a learning curve. The second one was easier. Also I was screwing into wood and I needed to find some shorter screws than what they gave me for this purpose. But I definitely would order these shades again. ... show more

These shades are great, especially if you have young kids. They’re cordless and really do block out the sun. Easy to install. However, I’ve had so so many issues with getting the wrong size delivered, item sent without parts to hang or even the wrong item all together.
