I absolutely love this new coop for my hens! I was able to build the majority of this coop by myself and only needed my husband’s help on one step which requires one person to hold up the heavy front/back panels of the hen house, while the second screws the pieces in. My 6 year old was able to help me hold the roof support beams while I secured them but other than that it was a very simple build! I love the space, ventilation, and I was not expecting a 3rd level which was a great surprise! I will be painting the coop with a bit of a thicker exterior paint due to my hard weather conditions in my area. I also added an extra lock, knobs, and door pulls. I did not assemble the side flower planters as we intend to put that side against the fence to better fit our space. It does not affect the coop whatsoever and there are no holes left exposed so I really like the flexibility. I am very happy with this purchase and for the price it was a great deal! It’s very difficult to find a coop where you can walk in without crouching so I love the height! ... show more

OK... there are certainly some things to like about this, but there are some glaring issues that no-one seems to either see or address in previous reviews... Very easy to assemble, as the instructions are easy to follow and as everything is pre-drilled, screwing in the required screws is easy. Comes well packaged, and quickly shipped, so that's a huge plus....but then there's the 'issues'... 1) anyone who has ever raised chickens knows that chickens need a place to roost, and you DON'T want them roosting in the nesting boxes..., but there are no roosting poles in this setup... 2) There is also no where for the chicken to get out of any weather...no enclosed spot that they can go to get out of the wind or snow, etc...beyond going into the nesting boxes...again, we DON'T want them there!, and 3) the whole setup is quite flimsy...very thin material, including the hinges and latches, making it not a very secure 'building' for your chickens, ESPECIALLY if you live in an area that has wild predators like racoons or coyotes, and 3) as this unit is not meant to be moved (once built) due to the flimsy-ness of the wood and connections, there is also no floor...meaning that unless you want to ALSO bury some hardware cloth below the ground-level, you better make sure that the ground you are setting this coop on is COMPLETELY level, or you'll have predators getting into your coop rather easily. Love the concept, but for the price, there are some glaring issues if you want to keep your chicken flock around for a while... ... show more

Surprisingly all hardware was spot on! I put it together in two pieces in my garage, was able to fit both pieces through 42 inch gate and finish it off with four screws. It’s a good backyard coup and easy to put together. I recommend this I dropped it one star do to some wood splitting while putting it together. We will see if the chickens like it!! ... show more

This chicken house is great except for a few major issues. Cons It is not packaged well, several pieces were damaged. Quality control is poor. I had several pieces with knots that made the pieces structurally weak. Labeling not all pieces were labeled There were a couple pieces that needed to be labeled with an inside or outside as they did not have any indications on the illustrations. The roof peak pieces that are expected to keep water out were cut to different lengths, needing a cut saw to even them out once assembled The nest shelf supports that are critical that they are installed at the correct locations should have pilot holes to ensure proper alignment. This coop is not a good fit for winter, there is no enclosed coop to shelter the chickens from wind and cold. The latches need upgraded, they are flimsy and are not secure. Pros This coop has excellent ventilation This coop is relatively easy to assemble It looks great once assembled Suggestions If you bought one I suggest that you caulk the assembled roof line assembly to ensure that the roof does not leak. ... show more

This is a nicely designed chicken coop and looks nice in the yard. It comes in two large boxes, with all the parts and instructions. I would say it is nice for a small chicken farm, otherwise it might get too crowded. I like that it has two boxes and ramps for the chickens, to keep them off the ground. It does not have a bottom, so you may want to secure it to keep other critters from getting in. I also think larger predators could get in, so we will be placing it inside a more secure fenced area, to be safe. The instructions are fairly easy to understand, so it wasn't too hard to put it together. Overall it is a nice little house for backyard chickens, in an area that doesn't have large predators. ... show more

Whao...! The perfect chicken coop for six chickens. Such a good quality. Exactly what I was looking for. Instructions are a little complicated. It would be good to have a video tutorial on how to do it. At the end we just figured it out. My chicks look very safe.

This little coop arrived in 2 boxes with everything needed to assemble. The instructions are good and assembly is not difficult but does take a little time to get everything together. The wood is lightweight, which is normal for these types of coops and hutches, but it generally holds up well. My favorite thing about this coop is the nice, spacious fenced in chicken run area which provides plenty of space for movement and can be fitted with some roosts or enrichment toys. The roof over the entire area keeps everyone dry during rain showers and does help shade the area a bit as well. The nesting boxes/indoor shelter is divide into 2 smaller areas rather than one larger indoor coop area. I may, in the future add on additional coop space, but this works fine as a starter coop for me. ... show more
