I've been using a dog food company that delivers the whole month at once, and with 3 dogs, it fills my freezer with no room for anything else. I ordered this Hanai freezer from Amazon, and it arrived with no problems, I plugged it in, and it wasn't getting cold enough to keep anything frozen. I contacted the seller, and she was very quick to respond. We tried a couple of troubleshoots but no help. It was still not freezing, so they had another in the mail to me pronto quick. I am happy to report that this one was getting freezer-cold within an hour. It's been working great and able to store all the dog food, plus any extra frozen food I buy. 5 cubic Ft. was the perfect size.

From a performance point of view, this is a nice little freezer. It is unobtrusive and does the job well. It is quiet. There are two main negatives. (01) The freezer is delivered vacuum wrapped in heavy plastic. This plastic is next to impossible to remove. After a few months, I am still trying to remove it. Next to any edges, it tears leaving small pieces that I cannot grab hold of. The overall appearance is really bad. If anyone has any removal ideas, let me know... please! (02) Included is a small basket for internal storage. Bad design here. The lips of the basket sit on the lip lid of the freezer preventing it from sealing. The result is, in two days time, the inside of the freezer on two sides is covered in heavy thick frost. This requires removing everything and defrosting. Throwing away the basket fixes the problem. Have not had a frost problem since. Except for the plastic wrap and basket, I would buy this unit agai.

An excellent small deep freeze when you have overflow of frozen foods, or you just need some extra space for a temporary holding, or your space is small but you need something to hold extra frozen meals. You really can't go wrong with this deep freeze especially at the price!

I love the compact size of the appliance. It fits perfectly in the space where I wanted it. I let it sit upright and unplugged for 3 days to let it rest after the shipping and handling. It runs very quietly, I can bearly hear it. I set the thermostat to number "5", and the temperature stays at - 11° F. Even though the capacity is only 3.5 cu ft, it has a lot of room for our meats and vegetables. It's perfect for our needs, and I love it!!! The communication with the seller was amazing, and they were very helpful. They even sent me tips on how to use the freezer in the beginning. I would definitely buy from the same company again

UPDATE: The seller has been very responsive to this issue and has rectified t!! I would recommend them to purchase from!! Purchased this small freezer in January for extra storage due to a counter depth fridge/freezer. It holds a lot for the size, and for the first few months no issues at all. Working great. Then I notice the floor under the bottom right size of the freezer was wet!! I though maybe I had dropped some frost from a bag of frozen veggies. Then I went back and checked again and a larger pool of water had formed!! It has been dripping water ever since then. I've contacted the company as the freezer is only 5 months old, no reply yet. This appears to be a consistent problem now sadly. I need to keep a towel under that side to catch the water. I hope this is an easy fix, as the freezer is still maintaining it's temp. This drip could easily trash the floors underneath it.
