PROS: I upgraded from a square 3.5cu freezer to this lower & wider 5cu. It's more compact then the one it's replacing by almost 3 inches, front-to-back, & 2 baskets instead of one makes organizing things like veggie bags a lot easier. If you have limited space but want more freezer, this is the one for smaller homes, like mine. Love the black color. It's easier to reach the bottom since it's lower in height, has wheels so I can move it & clean behind it (fur balls gather there ... I have 2 cats!). I didn't rate efficiency or temp control because it's only been plugged in & full for 2 days now. It hits all of the other things I was looking for. >>>CON<<<: What's with the clear plastic covering it? It's like adhesive plastic that's been in place 10+ years & isn't going to move. The Demuller name is (was) plastic stick-on letters, on top of this wrap, & the letters popped off. The wrap is ON the panels but UNDER all of the trim, including the temp panel. If it wasn't supposed to be taken OFF, it sure looked like it shouldn't have been left ON. It took me a good half hour to remove just the plastic wrap on the front panel. I'm not doing the rest because it's in a back room but, geez, if I had known, I would have chosen another brand. If this was going to be in a room where it would be visible to anyone visiting, this would NOT work. UPDATE: I put a freezer thermometer in it when I 1st set it up. The LED on the front panel has been showing as -2 but the thermometer I put inside was reading as +2, & later as +5. I pressed the button on the panel & set it to -5, waited overnight & checked it. It was -2. SO, there is a slight discrepancy but overall OK. Also, it makes sounds like water running through it & it's a bit noisy. Think of where you're going to be putting this if you don't want to hear it "clearing it's throat". For me, it's fine & I would give it 4.5 as an overall rating. ... show more
